I know this is off topic, but can we talk about how nice Ella's curls look. I think I remember seeing a video a couple years ago where she talked about how damaged her hair was. I'm so glad it's looking so good!

Deborah T she has naturally curly hair, she didn’t make it curly and keep it that way. Her problem was learning to care for her curls when she bleaches/dyes it or even brushes it harshly, it ruins the integrity of the curl. Now that it’s grown out and she’s taking care of it keeping in mind the curls she already has, it’s amazing! My hair’s been dyed and bleached so many time, the curl pattern is ruined so hopefully with full regrowth this I’ll see improvement. It’s crazy how you can screw up curly hair 😖

When your wedding dress is now a tax write off

Technically no. When I took my tax course this is something my instructor covered extensively. The IRS only considers clothing to be a tax write off if there's no reasonable way it could be used "day to day" and could not possibly be used for anything other than work related things. Scrubs are not a tax write off because it wouldn't be embarrassing to venture out in public in them. Many doctors and surgeons had testified wearing scrubs which only furthered the IRS's point that they can be and are worn outside of work. This was an actual court case that the IRS won and is not just a random example.
Musicians tend to wear absolutely outrageous outfits for performances and music videos in part because one could argue that a dress made from meat could not be worn to the grocery store (and in part because it's fun lol).
A wedding dress would certainly not be a tax write off as it's highly likely that it would be worn for personal purposes (your wedding 🤷 especially if you're actually engaged and actually looking for a wedding dress) and since this video is publicly available it would be pretty risky to try to write it off as a business expense. If the IRS were to audit that deduction would likely get denied and then you might owe severe penalties on that money.
Technically any business space (like a home office) or business equipment (like a video camera) has to be strictly for business use as well or they can deny those deductions as well. You technically should have two cameras if you're a for-profit/professional youtuber- one for shooting RUclips videos and one for personal footage. The one for RUclips footage is a write off, the one for personal use is not- and if you only own one video camera that is mixed use it only qualifies as for personal use and cannot be written off. As for a home office, if you get a phone call from your spouse (who is not a business partner or coworker specifically calling about something work related) you should technically (according to IRS rules) step out into your hallway to take that call or else your home office has just been used for personal activity and therefore ceases to be a write off.
TLDR: The IRS is savage.
