This channel is one of the rare cases where they really do deserve the patreon support. Such great content. Ps. Ive heard underneath its loincloth, the Colossus had a gold pp cuz the greeks knew what mattered in life
The French Whisperer is amazing. When I NEED to go to sleep because I have to work early I listen to him. As soon as I hear those magic words, I know I'm going to sleep in 15 minutes or less, "Hello, everyone."
Everyone needs a French Whisperer. This man helps me go to sleep better than any pill could ever do. I have suffered from insomnia for years but my sleep and in turn my life has improved with these wonderful stories. Thank you so much. Salutations from Australia 🦘
I was excited to see a new video so soon! I love the longer videos so I was originally skeptical of this new approach, but I think I actually prefer it
I wonder if the upcoming wonders of the world have mythology stories woven through them? (Fusing your two best genres.... myths and creation stories with history)
Thank you so much for this! I assumed that it was a remake (albeit with a great cast) and decided not to be disappointed. Now I’d really love to see it, particularly since I loved the original. But I appreciate that you’re a Tim Burton devotee and expert and that already hooks me in as a moviegoer. You’re right about pacing too. Original Beetlejuice was exciting but mellow, and Marvel movies nowadays are high action but boring. Will now watcn Beetlejuice x 2 from your recommendation ❤. Subbed too!
"At Rhodes was set up a Colossus of seventy cubits high, representing the Sun … the artist expended as much bronze on it as seemed likely to create a dearth in the mines." - Sean Bean that one time
The order of which you treat the wonders of the world is interesting. Antipatros lists them: 1. The hanging gardens of Semiramis, 2. The colossus of Rhodos, 3. The mausoleum of Halikarnassos, 4. The lighthouse of Alexandria, 5. The pyramids of Gizeh, 6. The Artemis temple of Ephesos, 7. The Zeus statue by Phidias of Olympia
I just list them from last to first built, because it helps me connect the historical contexts, and also I needed the pyramid to come last because I already did a video about it that I will recycle when I compile the series.

Goodnight everyone!
Im sure this is where GRRM took inspiration from for Braavos.
Where is 1/7? Got so confused with the various links and lengthy explanations.
It is on my channel page, in the list of videos.
Hello. Mon a'mi.❤
In French bon sang 😮
I cannot turn off stable audio 🤔
Hullo
Does this make us all Rhodes scholars?
(See what I did there?)
Turned off Ambient mode but wont let me turn off Stable...
