Have you come to destroy us? Homily for the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B.

The public ministry of Jesus in Mark’s gospel begins with Jesus casting out an unclean spirit from a man who is possessed. The unclean spirit asks, “Have you come to destroy us?” This question encapsulates the whole mission of Jesus in mark’s gospel.
