Pass my CC exam few minutes ago. The questions are more difficult than the posted exam questions. My advice, after you have studied these materials, pick each topic eg BIA, BCP, DOS, MITM, Encryption, and expand your knowledge by reading more. Once again, if you are new in Cybersecurity without having worked in the space, prepare harder! All the best.

Q 52. The current answer is C. Option B is all about DR
    3. to preserve evidence.
    Here's why:
Preserving evidence is crucial for identifying the attacker, understanding the scope of the incident, and building a legal case if necessary. Tampering with or losing evidence can hinder the investigation and make it harder to bring perpetrators to justice.
Restoring services quickly can be tempting, but doing so before securing evidence could destroy valuable clues. In some cases, delaying service restoration is necessary to properly collect and analyze evidence.
Updating security policies may be a long-term goal after the incident, but it's not the immediate priority during the response phase. The focus is on containing the damage and gathering information, not making changes to policies right away.
Identifying the attacker is important, but it depends on having evidence first. Without preserved evidence, it's difficult to track down the culprit.

    • @CertificationTerminal
      @CertificationTerminal  4 месяца назад

      Hi Dashrath,
Thanks for choosing 'Certification Terminal' as part of your preparation.
It seems there is a conflict of interests in this situation.
While we acknowledge the importance of 'preserving evidence' when an incident occurs, the primary objective of incident response is to minimize disruption to the business and swiftly restore normalcy. I reckon that this priority may differ among organizations based on their policies. We believe 'To restore services as quickly as possible' is utmost priority than 'To preserve evidence'.
Wish you good luck for your exam, prep well and concur the success.

In addition, the real questions instead of asking the purpose of System Hardening, it will ask you to choose what the activities in system hardening is. Instead of asking what is DNS port number it will ask you if people cannot access to the common web site what open should you open. I was surprised there is a question asked what is the first step in SDLC, should be feasibility study for that. Instead of asking what PCI DSS is, they will ask what standard needs to be encrypted. They will also ask you which cloud service you need to take care of anti-virus.

    Q 37. Answer: D. I checked in ChatGPT and the answer is D ....
option 4 specifically outlines the components most directly associated with disaster recovery and continuity efforts. These include:
Emergency Response Procedures: Guidelines and protocols for responding to immediate threats or incidents.
Crisis Management Plan: A plan outlining steps to manage and mitigate the impact of crises on the organization.
Communication Plan: Strategies for internal and external communication during emergencies or disruptions.
Business Continuity Plan: Procedures and protocols to ensure the continuity of essential business functions during and after a disaster or disruption.
While other options mention valuable elements like risk management, incident response plans, data classification policies, and recovery objectives, these are generally associated with broader aspects of information security and risk management, rather than specifically focusing on disaster recovery planning.

    Q. 52. First Responder Definition; First responders. Initial responders, such as a help-desk technician,
should know when to inform incident response entities of an
incident and who to contact. While a single malware infection may
not seem serious, it could easily be the first hint of a significant
attack or data breach. If first responders report all incidents, it
increases the possibility of catching and thwarting an incident early.

      Hi Augusto Almeida,
The Incident Response Plan, is a guide for what to do when something bad happens to your computer systems, like a cyber attack or a power outage. It tells you exactly what steps to take to stop the problem, fix what's broken, and get things back to normal as quickly as possible. While the Incident Response Plan talks about keeping the data safe, it doesn't focus on how much data loss is acceptable, unlike Recovery Point Objective.

Oh dear, don't worry, the (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity exam isn't excessively difficult to pass nor is it overly easy. Approximately half of the questions are fairly straightforward, especially for those with a solid grasp of Networking and OS knowledge. The remaining 50% may require some extra effort to comprehend fully before answering.
I recommend to go through the recorded sessions (training) that (ISC)² provides, once we register to the exam. Take the time to thoroughly watch (ISC)² CC exam Q&A series on our channel. Pause before the answers are revealed and attempt to answer the questions independently. Then, resume the video to check your answer against the correct one. Pay close attention to the explanations provided after each answer; they may introduce new insights. Should you have any further questions, feel free to leave a comment or utilize online resources for clarification.

      2. Click on your profile (top right)
      3. In the left pane under "Certifications Held": "Print Member Digital Certificate"

    Q11:
    answer is B

Thank you for going through the Q&A.
The correct answer for Q11 should be Option C: Platform as a Service (PaaS).
PaaS is specifically designed to provide a platform allowing customers to develop, run, and manage applications without dealing with the underlying infrastructure. It offers tools, libraries, and frameworks that developers can use to build, test, and deploy applications more efficiently. PaaS is well-suited for hosting, building, and deploying consumer-facing applications as it streamlines the development process and provides the necessary environment and tools for application deployment.
Option B: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), is incorrect
IaaS provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. It offers virtual machines, storage, and networking capabilities, allowing users to manage their infrastructure without having to invest in physical hardware. However, while IaaS provides the basic infrastructure components needed for hosting applications, it doesn't offer the necessary tools and services for developers to directly build and deploy consumer-facing applications. It's more about providing the foundational resources rather than a complete platform for application development and deployment.
      Hope it clears.

So many answers are not correct. For example, question 72, D is the answer, not C as you claim. Surprisingly, you choose C as answer and then used D to explain. Be careful folks

      Hi Ade Olu,
The correct answer for Q-72 is 'Option C'.
An incident is typically an unexpected or unplanned event that disrupts normal operations and requires a response to mitigate its impact. On the other hand, an event can be a planned occurrence or a normal happening that is part of routine operations.
Option D states that Incident is an Adverse. Incidents may include Adverse events that compromises security, Incidents are not just confined to security threats. They may be unplanned disruptions, technical failures, natural disasters and other emergencies.
      Hope it clears.
Thanks for stopping by and providing your feedback.
Wish you all the best for your preparation and your exam.
