- Studio One 5 Professional added the new Show Page, which allows Studio One to join you on stage for your live shows! You can use virtual instruments live, use backing tracks from your album sessions, use Ampire live, sequence your set list and more... New in version 5.2, you can now arrange songs on the fly, fire loops, change patches mid-song, and control it all from Studio One Remote v1.6! Gregor explains how to get it set up for your next show!

Gregory has to be the best Product Specialist on the Tube.
The Show Page is so close to making Presonus be the best DAW ever, however, if there was a record function in it, which would allow you to build a track by track live loop, automatically loop it for awhile, go into your next song, while also doing immediate patch changes, and having a final live performance mix, this would be the perfect DAW for a solo artist like myself. It would be a complete game changer PLEASE CONSIDER FOR 5.3!!!

I wish the show/perform page could also record your tracks out like the normal editor does. Great to record live session or set.
Love where all this is heading! I would really love to see the ability to use the show page as a creative tool as well! Build up ideas in the show and record it in to the song page. Imhumbleo, you’re getting the best of both worlds then! PLEASE can you make this a reality?

Well done Presonus! Show Page is a very powerful features in Studio One for live performances. Since it is primarily use in live performance, some performer like me always record our live performances. Can you add record feature in show page? Thanks in advance.
am using Ableton Live and Studio One...there is no perfect DaW but if you guys will integrate the Matrix session view as Live,Bitwig, DP and now Logic... you will be really close to the perfect producer go to daw ( especially that now you have the Atom range tools ). Finger crossed for the version 6 :D

Ableton is non-linear loop-mashup on the fly. This is patch-switching on the fly which is exceptional for performance. I didn’t quite get that at first. Not sure Ableton can do this that well?

It would be great to import MIDI tracks in the same way the audio backing tracks are done. It would allow the Show Page to work as a sequencer in a hardware setup. It would allow you to play multiple instruments at once, or to free you up to turn knobs and adjust the sounds.

I noticed that tempo changes in a song don't happen in show mode. Is there any configuration for this? Or is it a limitation of studio one?
When loop recording like ableton will be available, I will upgrade from version 4

there was also a problem with my track in which the variable bpm, that is, from the verse to the chorus, the tempo increases. when loading a backing track, it is impossible to synchronize the tempo and there is no possibility to adjust it. it would be great if it was possible to load the tempo track or manually adjust it.

Question: How do I make this hands-free? I'm a guitarist who wants to start each track with a foot-switch, then start the next track with it. That's the only thing preventing me from switching to this method.

Helpful and awesome video as always. I have a question. Can DMX lighting be controlled through midi automation in either studio one song or show page? I've seen videos where a couple of the other daws similar to studio one can do it. My DMX software loads into S1 v6 as a plugin. Just wondering if you know anything about using it this way
Hey Gregor, Thanks so much for another lesson that is very relevant to my needs. I have a band that plays with backing tracks. Problem is when I import stems or even save a stereo mix to show page, the tempo map does not line up. I have sync set to on. am I missing something?
I’d like to see the option to add a midi track... I know you can add a virtual instrument to play but I'd like to add a basic midi track for the sole purpose of outputting midi notes through the IAC Driver to automate other software on the local area network like ProPresenter.
So I have programmed lights in the main section of studio one, but I can not export it to the show page, and still have the program fire the lights. The midi track is not there. How can I use this live? How can I get my midi track over to the show page?

If you have a song with multiple temop changes, how do you address that with the show page? When i load my song files it defaults to the first tempo and thats it. Same goes with click track
Can you trigger the instrument patches with the MIDI buttons/pads in your MIDI keyboard controller? In a live situation you don't want an ipad. As others have mentioned, we need to be able to record loops live too.

Also can you use this for a solo performer say adding it to an acoustic amp with just say a drum track and maybe Bass and some sore of second Ruthann and or a lead section for live show? The trouble here is everyone assumes everyone just plays EDM in 4 bar loops and fixed tempos.
Building this thing in rigid blocks is useless for me as I use backing sounds to bridge between songs, and this simply does not allow one to do that.
Great info BUT... I play in a duo, trio and full band. How do I send Cue Mixes, click, etc to different mixes for everyone to the other musicians? I am using a Soundcraft UI24R digital mixer.

Hey Gregor! we're using this setup for our live shows to add some depth to our soundscape. It's been great so far, but I'm looking to make the experience a bit more dynamic and I'm not sure if this is possible, but any thoughts are helpful... I'd like to be able to take a song that has multiple tracks, for this example lets say we have 10 tracks and I'd like to add Tracks 1-5 to Player(1) within a Show and tracks 6-10 to a different Player(2) within a show so that I can control the mix and effects on each Player track separately. Is this attainable?
Question: I know I can record but can the Presonus AR16C be used in a live performance with with Studio One Show Page with a Macbook Pro controling and adjusting plug ins in realtime?
Can the PERFOM page be controlled with a drum pad such a Roland SPDX or Alesis Strike Multipad?

I first downloaded the free version of dawn. I liked her. I paid for access to sphere. I downloaded the professional version. And I have a problem, there is no vst plug-in in the options. The program was rebooted and reinstalled - the problem remained. I tried to find technical support on the site.

does anybody know an answer to the following question: wouldn't it be necessary to deactivate all mixbus plugins before exporting the backing track to the showpage...otherwise it could be a problem when you try to glue your live Performance together with mixbus plugins directly in the show page isn't it???
Hi I’m trying to use show page but I’m having problems, I’m using to test 3 sounds presets I start to play but studio one always change the preset that I’m using and go to default preset!
Eg. I put a chorus in a Rhodes piano, I selected the piano when I return to Rhodes he comes with the chorus fx off! Best regards! The same happens with the piano I’m using a preset and he plays the first of the list when I select the piano again! Can you help to fix this?

We play The King Will Come by Wishbone Ash - I use 3 guitar patches - WahOD - CleanCHO - ODintro.
I switch between those 3 at least 15 times...
Can you control individual stems of the backing track or is it just stereo.
What are some examples of physical setup at a show?

You can access the Setlist with all the Songs in a Show from a dedicated popup menu.

Hoping someone can answer this question-
I can see how Show Page works-I have tried it on my Mac, yet I can't lug a big desktop computer with me to gigs.
I want to install ST1 onto a Laptop and transfer my show to the Laptop.
What is unknown to me is: How does your Laptop with all of your songs (or complete show with audio files) get to your PA so you can "play along" For the life of me-I can't see how the laptop would connect to the PA.
The only connections on a Mac Book are USB. There are no XLR/TRS connections. Am I missing something? My last question is-How would you start/stop songs-Manually or with a footswitch?

@@bortasha Deepest apologies for the late response-I always try to respond to people who make any comments and/or ask me questions. So sorry to say-I have not received an answer to this question AND..I have asked on other channels as well. I have often wondered why people make videos and then don't review the comments section. I mean, if I was doing a video on skydiving and you asked a question on gear, or body position-I could refer you to another video, or at the very least-"answer you". That to me is the most responsible. At this late stage, I believe people make videos to say "I make videos" or "I have a You Tube channel and my channel is monetized blah, blah blah...ad nauseum.
Ok-back to the issue. Hope you can follow my train of thought. Mac>Audio Interface (XLR or TRS) This is our inputs (Scarlet 2I2) Out the back is TRS 1/4 " jacks to your studio monitors. I'm thinking that you could connect to a Bose PA (my favorite) with the 1/4 inch TRS jacks.
A vocal mic is XLR to PA-check.
The laptop has a USB as does the Bose system-I am thinking that my laptop would connect to the USB on the Bose and the Laptop ends up basically as the Audio player thru the Bose.
Do we need the Scarlett 2I2? Still unknown. I have a Revv G20 Amplifier so I can go out the back with an XLR to the Bose.
If If I want any Ampire effects-I'd have to choose not to use the G20 and create a track for Ampire to play along with a certain song (Provided I didn't use the G20 on the rhythm guitar part)
For a song that has a Lead-I'd play my song parts and when the lead came in-I would use the G20-Yes-I know-lots of plugging/unplugging of cables during a show.
At which point, I have decided to use the G20 as primary.
We are still back to Square 1 though-Laptop has another iteration of Studio One loaded. You create (have) your song(s) in Show Page. Your ready to hit the stage. Does your PA accept a USB from the laptop into the PA? Do we need to purchase additional mixer? Let's presume (hate using the word assume) our PA accepts a USB In connection from our Laptop-If it does, I am guessing the Laptop acts a audio player. I've put any "Live Performance" thoughts on hold. I'm sticking to learning how to mix/record. I'm using another service to Master and found it to my liking. I record Rock, Blues-nothing groundbreaking mind you-just happy to get my originals recorded. Live gigs though with Studio One? Still a dream. A single guitar player, sounding like a full rock band? Just a dream!
No definitive answers as of this writing. The above is only guesswork on my part.

I have thus far only used studio one for recording some of my own songs and have only mixed with headphones. I have never used the outputs from the audio interface. I have found them now and am on my way to see what I can do with Studio One Show. Thanks again. :)
I miss a easier tool to raise the volume for my stems. Patches is not a direct solution
In my Studio one 6 pro there is no Show menu on top right corner. Using Windows(PC).

Gregor is great. Studio One is great for the studio. Show page misses the mark completely. Unfortunately, I have to keep using Cakewalk for live stuff.

For some reason Studio One stops responding on and off. It even happens when I haven't loaded a project. I I haven't tried reinstalling it though. When I open It. It freezes, and unfreezes. I opened up task manager and It says "not responding" for around 10 seconds, and then it goes back to normal. This is only happening to Studio One. Every other application is perfectly fine. Also It has started happening today. I'm using Windows 10. Is there a way to fix this?
It's a pity not to have the section features like 'loop' 'continue' 'skip' directly in the arranger window. On that topic LOGIC Pro is much better than Studio One.
There is lot of stuff here, yet it is rendered useless by being way too complex to be of any value. All I want is the simple ability to go from one song to the next, to the next, to the next... through my set, just like I could do 35 years ago on my Korg M1. Everything else is ready to go in the song, I don't want to have to rebuild it all in the Show page and then again in the remote app. It's way too much effort for zero benefit. I just want to press play at the start of the set and then completely ignore the computer until the set is finished. I also don't want to have to render everything down to stems, - disc space is a much bigger issue for me than processor power.
