I haven't played this on BGA but Mystic Vale is still a regular favorite of ours. I'm getting card crafting vibes from this game, which is great because I already liked the forest theme. Mystic Vale is also very unbalanced for scoring. It's just that kind of game, and you have to know that going into it. Very much looking forward to this one now.
Just got it from my friend. So exiting to try it i love how now developers are emphasising more and more on more sustainable and ecological production. Agree what a beautiful illustrations! And great to hear so positive opinion from you. Definitely hoping it will become for me and my wife cool 2 players game we go to when we want something cosy. Haha guys love “eye cones to see icons” wisdom bonus from you.
I first played with 5 players at Essen and really enjoyed it even though I think the scoring isn't balanced. With more players the tension at the end of the game is greater as there is a bigger gap between your turns when the winter cards could come out.
I played a couple of games of this a couple of weeks ago and really liked it, like Sunniva said, for what it is. I wouldn't turn it down at all but won't run out and buy it. I think it should include a score pad (or did it and I totally forgot) to keep up with the scoring options which can get a little muddled, but good game, overall.
There is a score pad, but it's not amazing! Unsure how they could have made it better. We usually use the new bgstats scoring pads when they are available anyways :D Thanks for shargin!
I hate box stickers. They are a lot harder to remove without damaging the box. The sticker sheet they pulled those from was likely a paper tape covered with a coated top surface so the glue from the plastic sticker doesn't stick to it. I wouldn't be surprised if it had the same carbon footprint as a single piece of thin heat-shrink, or more. And now I'm getting out the goo-gone to clean off the leftover adhesive.
Wolf gives you 5pts per deer not 1pt. You might get 25-30 pts easily with only 1 card played (wolf). This strat is really discussed on BGA, especially for 2p game. I played hundreds of games and I can say it is unbalaced for sure, not game winner. Equivalent as ravens in wingspan.

Must have said wrong, sorry! I did mean 5 points each :) Thanks for sharging!
Is scoring a pain to do? That's the one thing that worries me
It takes a little time, but not something that bothered me at all! :)
