Using marine wires in the van as you did is the way to go but those twist connectors are more related to residential electricity where the temperature, humidity and more importantly vibrations are not comparable with van environment.
As soon as I saw him using the twist connectors, I skipped on this video.
I want to wire my lights in parallel as that’s what I’ve seen recommended and I want to be able to fix an individual light if it goes out. I bought the 14-2 wire like yours and am now thinking I need separate positive and negative wires to do them in parallel. I see you used the 14-2 wire. Are these wired in series?

How many coats of Ipswich pine stain did you use to get that color? Thanks.
Two coats. I recommend maybe buying a few, doing test swatches, and returning the ones you don’t use. This color was a little orange for my liking but we didn’t really plan ahead enough.
The reason they don't come with mounting screws is, the manufacturers are about profit...not quality products. A little negative I know, but after fifty plus years on this planet....
