Hey everyone!
Today's video is an exciting one!
Here is our first time fossicking for Sapphires at Lava Plains, Far North Queensland - Australia
For roughly 4 hours of digging I think we did really well for our first time!
I tried my best to explain along the way, I'm still new to this whole geology thing but I learn best as I go, in the field, so I thought I would bring you all along for the journey! ⛏️

in the white volcanic ash/clay layers, beneath the ironstone layers.. thats where the big sapphs are at. dig deep.
Oh thankyou! I noticed that there was lots of ironstone within the first layers! Will definitely spend longer out there next time to dig deeper💎
ive been there many times and they don't seem to be any more or less in any particular layer they seem spread out everywhere and only hard work can find them
