Francisco Marquez scored the only goal in the 62nd minute as San Elizario won their 4th Texas 4A soccer title in 9 season 1-0 over Boerne in a battle of dynasties. Stephen Chairez became the 2nd GK in Texas soccer history to shut out all 7 playoff opponents after San Elizario's Steve Salias did it in 2018. San Eli won their last 29 matches & only conceded 3 goals. Boerne was seeking its 3rd title & to become the 1st San Antonio area team to go unbeaten and untied in a UIL sport since 1995.
