Good game ' Cuse! From a Hoosier fan. Welcome to the club that you will never be able to be removed from :) Maybe next year Hoosiers! Great season, great program. They'll be back. Always back.
You're sizing things up by what I've seen here. Football college has an almost street level academic level like bureaucratic leagues that are played on Sundays, where the leaders of these universities pay to get trained with reserves from professional clubs of course they are of some use (For those who want to be professional and transcend in the game) where they look at college football as sparring or a training game, they are not interested in making a student a contract to go to Europe, the World Cup is a maximum and abysmal level, you have a huge burden and responsibility, it's like if it were life and death.
Congratulations you are the best. You are the winner NCAA Championship in College Cup Syracuse Men's Soccer. You are be lucky men You are be lucky men. (6-7)
Free scholarships, and education. Mediocre players from Europe are stars in the US for the most part. Almost half of my D2 team was from out of the country.
As a Syracuse fan, it was a shame that penalties (which is a lot of luck) we’re now the game got decided. They should really do more overtime in big matches/World Cup games that matter instead of letting PKs determine the result but glad my orange pulled out on top 🍊
Horrible.
Nope. According to statistics 1-1.2 percent of these kids will play in the MLS. They prefer to spend money on overseas players that are past their prime. Half of the MLS is international which is quite embarrasing considering how big the US is.
Mister Sealy. The match officially ended in a tie to define a team that advances to the next round or to become champion in case the tie persists in regulation time, extra times are needed, if the tie also persists, believe me, even if you are the best athlete in the world , the legs no longer give you enough, the mind can send the signal and the body does not react, a third and fourth extra time would be inhumane, you are exposing yourself to a muscle tear injury and recovery requires time, so, they are needed of penalty kicks, it doesn't matter if it's midnight taking penalties, that's where the winner is defined. Before all that, this game was entertaining and with very good goals.
@@vortexathletic they are not supposed to beat a MLS team my guy. the MLS players are fking salary professionals ffs. its their job which they get paid for. if they get beat by a bunch of students then whats the point of being a professional
LMAOOO the difference of level between the US and here is FRANCE is so fcking HUGE. Kids of 14 years will smash this teams. COntinue to call it soccer we don't play the same sport :)
Nothing but pain. Until something is done about this terrible youth system and federation gets a COMPLETE overhaul, USA will continue to be so mediocre. The only reason they have any sort of quality in the midfield for this world cup was because the guys played overseas. They still can't score or even mark their man (like against the Dutch)
Blame the absurd prices you have to pay for good club/ academy exposure out here. There’s a lot of talented kids in poorer areas they just don’t get a chance to shine because of the $$$
Yeah, but this is university/college football, they literally stop the clock for injuries and don’t add stoppage time for anything else. MLS does the clock the normal way. Also, even the College All-Stars probably couldn’t beat an MLS team
@@danielramirez4253 you sound like someone who just got corrected 😂 If you played football at a University in England, you MIGHT get your parents to show up, as opposed to American universities where a lot of fans show up
Here after Opoku was signed by Leicester City from Syracuse University
That’s cool
hell prollly struggle but really happy for the lad
Soooo stressful! Congrats Syracuse! That was an amazing sesson & your 1st ever natty!!
Wow, what an exciting game. Both teams played simply AMAZING. Respect to both teams🙌🏼
Well done! Ian is a fantastic coach! SU really held their composure in the later stages. Good on ya Lads.
Except for leaving that dude wide open in ot off the throw in. Lucky that he struck it over, they got caught open pretty bad there
Its a win. Armchair Charlie.

@@gregbrown9476 Agreed, also feel they deserved a much larger crowd and TV audience!
What a great game!!
I wish they'd include defensive highlights as well :(
Never seen more brillant fucking goalkeeping than the Indiana goalkeeper definitely learned a lot from him
how are these guys shooting better PKs than pro's in the WC?
Ever thought maybe there's a little more pressure during the world cup lol?
Professional keepers are very good. Incomparable to what you see here.
World Cup goalkeepers are way better.

If you think that these are better penalty kick shots than world cup pros then you have your head up your ass about soccer!!!!
As a European, I honestly didn't know football/soccer had so much charm in the US college divisions. Pretty great stuff!
What a game!!!
Indiana defenders are going to be devastated when they find out you’re allowed to double team a star offensive player.
First time NCAA Champion, now let's see a new WC Champion too
Please never buy better microphones the crackle honestly makes it that much more enjoyable to watch

defensive standard is piss poor tbh

I hate penalty kicks to win these things. It isn't soccer. They played even for regular time and overtime. Keep playing. Play soccer.
