"Maybe they paid you and you didn't pay him". That's seems like exactly what happened. He left the League, received a check after doing so(because he said they always took a long time to send him payment), and he spent the money instead of paying the Plaintiff. Not very nice.
LMAO! "Leave that in!" I have been self employed since leaving the military, most of my adult life, I had enough of the 'orderly' life. As such spent a lot time in court collecting money owed. I have several litigations coming up, one for "latent material issues" which the previous owner of my new condo did not disclose and which could cost the strata up to a million $$$. To say the least I am pissed off. I hope I get a judge as sharp as Judy.
Mr. Hicks is so calm, relaxed, and handsome too! He also seems like he came prepared. Very interesting case and I learned a lot about referees. JJ is one of the best judges on TV with some of the best cases ever. I'm glad Mr. Hicks won. He definitely deserved it. He also goes by Bsolid The Poet. He has excellent poetry, mugs, and wall art. And he has amazing body art photos, who knew! lol
She was asking because the basketball league is a post-retirement gig and he was still pretty fit. She wouldn't have asked if he were retiring from roofing lol. She was probably suspicious of the circumstances of him leaving the organization and wanted to know the context.
I love how Judy who’s a multimillionaire tries to compare what she does to actual people who really work! She’s hilarious and is clearly paid way way too much for really doing nothing!
It’s one of those really annoying ‘filler’ word like ‘literally’ that people use (usually wrongly) to pad out a story and adds nothing !! I agree with JJ 😂
@@apollonia-ava I agree with your description and I know JJ hates it for that reason, and I'm even beginning to notice it's misusage in real life. However, it does have a literal (sorry!) meaning that's not always used evasively. Yes, filler words are on the increase and are very annoying, none more so than "So" when someone begins to talk about themself, and "Like", when used extensively in youthful peoples' conversation.

@@apollonia-avaDo you really think inserting “like” in between words came from social media? @ 🤣Yes I only noticed ‘like’ from people on social media not those around me or younger people, then slowly I began to see it on social media. "You can leave that in".......I love JJ 😂😂
😂😂😂😂yesssss
She's so quick-witted. 😂 Love her So Much! 😊
I love that too ❤!
“They’re actually designed to torture my children at the time of my demise” 😂 I love getting real life Judy Sheindlin.
I fell off the chair laughing😂😂
I ❤️ JJ!
😂😅😂
She is so diabolical 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
“Why would I need records?” 😂 2:29. Was this guy born yesterday?
"Well the IRS says to keep records for 7 years."
Oh yeah, them.
“Basically is not a word!” 😂
Take notes, Merriam Webster!
Why won’t the defendant answer a question with a straight answer.
Pilpul
Because he's dodgy.
Because he's crooked. 😂
Because he's obviously dishonest and not honorable.

Damn..
Yesssss, love it when JJ breaks the 4th wall.
JJ has such a great wit. She is so funny.
The DEFENDANT IS TRYING TO BE A SMART ARSE
Defendant has a big ego and attitude.
Yeah and JJ is clearly not having it.
Why
JJ was feeling good for this case. She must have had a good lunch.
Mmmhmm
Must've been sushi day.
She usually is much more patient with classy people than trashy people with dumb problems
Love when ppl come prepared bring evidence and don't have to say a word 👌😂
I was waiting on this part 2😂😂😂😂I don’t know why I felt like she was about to fry his ass but I’m not done with the video yet😂😂😂
upload ...
Fry his ass got me 😂
It’s because she started the case questioning the defendant! We all know that means they’ve got the dirty hands! Lol

She didn't like transitional words, although she used them all the time, she a dumb bee
The best part of that compliment was that it worked! Judy was actually very affable here
Watching this case is giving me flashbacks of when I was a child watching my Aunty telling off my Uncle 🤣

Oooh, he retired. No wonder he doesn't care if he does right by the Plaintiff.

He's right. He doesn't need records if he's going to rip these guys off. 🤷♀️
JJ and the defendant have a very…New York rapport in this case lol I felt like she was talking to a cousin or nephew here
She knew in advance of the taping that the defendant was going to be a Jewish male.
If FOS was a person
Mr Gerber comes off very smug.
😂😂 jj is in a good mood I see
She got time baby lol
This guy is ridiculous!! He has zero records
Why do people think you are supposed to work until you d!e 🤨
If that man wants to retire in his late 60’s it’s his business.
She was asking because the basketball league is a post-retirement gig and he was still pretty fit. She wouldn't have asked if he were retiring from roofing lol. She was probably suspicious of the circumstances of him leaving the organization and wanted to know the context.
She questioned him because she knew he didn't retire, he switched to another League. It must have been something she read in the pretrial statements.
Refereeing in sports like basketball is actually something that can be done in old age post retirement, just depends on ones mobility levels
Judge Judy pulling off a 4th wall break 😂
“Basically is not a word”. Umm, yes, it actually is Judy. 👀
"In court."
I think she meant to say it’s not an answer and fudged it
slippery like an eel

Not just a multimillionaire; she has half a billion dollars.
Is he sane 😂
That center was local
What a A hole he goes cause he doesn’t like the way they pay him so he does the same thing to someone else.
Basically retired...
Judy flirting…
Sowy u honor the previous 2 statements I texted were untrue.
Idk but something about this interaction between JJ and the defendant makes me wanna leave them alone for a bit 😉😂 there’s banter
