The problem is Judge Merchan and his DA convicted Trump on hush money payments falsely being filed as Personal expense. If they were In Fact "Business Expenses" as the POTUS all witnesses, documents, and testimony related to that painstakingly litigated "Business Expense" are now under the purview of Presidential acts and not admissible towards any Trial against the Personhood that is currently Donald Trump.
They can't use evidence that is protected by Executive Privilege.

The actual charges were fraudulent records in 2017, entirely while he was president. The reason is the hush money that happened before, but the timeline is not dispositive here.

I don't see how this ruling doesn't overturn all 34 convictions. Paying someone hush money isn't illegal. It's just a non-disclosure agreement. Trump's defense was that this was all a personal issue, meaning it wasn't illegal. But Alvin Bragg's entire case was that it was not a private issue, it directly related to his Presidency, and since he didn't disclose it, it was illegal. If Alvin Bragg is correct, then he is immune. So either way, these felony convictions are all invalid now.
Key point: Trump was not president when the Stormy Daniels incident occurred. It stands he is a convicted felon with 34 charges down, 88 to go.

Let's hope Judge Merchan sentences Trump to jail for the fullest extent of the law and immediately has to carry out his sentence right then and there.
