The most recent Don't Flop battle that I've seen Clips in was against a guy that he pulled oranges out on and one of the guys crew threw beer up in the air. The battle was wack because of the other guy, not Clips, just like in this battle.
I've never seen Clips in a wack battle...maybe except the one against Serious, I wasn't feeling that one a whole lot.

I don't understand how you could no prepare for battling Clips. Realistically Clips is the Jordan of battle rap. So is it, people don't bring their A game because the think they're already going to lose? I don't get it, Charlie has proven time and time again that he will battle prepared and if you're not, its going to be a pretty bad lost.
Dan has admitted to screwing up on his podcast and how he probably shouldn't have booked this battle. He said he was on tour in Japan for the month prior and he didn't have as much time as he thought to prepare and suffered for it. He said he's never taking another battle unless he has enough time.
He's more like the Allen Iverson of battle rap. He always shows up but never prepares or practices. Lol.

Clips 3-0, no debating.
I fucks wit' DBD heavy but he lost this one pretty easy, 3-0. His first was decent, but Clips was just better. Then in rounds 2 & 3, DBD started off spittin' some dope shit but then you can tell he forgot his bars. Round 2 he jumped straight into freestyle, and you can tell he was freestylin' because he wasn't sayin' shit. In DBD's older battles, his style was so loose, light hearted and semi-lyrical that you basically could never tell when he was freestylin'. Now, his performance has gotten so refined that you can easily tell when he's freestylin' now. In round 3 he didn't even try. Once he forgot his bars again he knew it was game over.
Charlie, on the other hand, was just plain consistently dope the whole battle in every round. I mean, there's really nothing more to say. He's been killin' it for the past year! Battle after battle of worthy opponents and Charlie has either dominated or at least debatable battles. His battle wit' B Magic was a little less than stellar (that whole SMACK event was a letdown for everybody! lol), but other than that he's been killin' it. I'm happy af I got to watch him live against JC in that dope ass battle here in Chicago. If he keeps this up, he will easily cement his spot in battle rap history as one of the greatest!
Overall, this was another solid battle. Not a classic due to DBD's poor performance, but still highly entertaining. I hope he does better in his next battle! Can't wait to see the next episode on his show about this one cuz I KNOW Caustic is gonna give him shit for it hahaha

usually, battles are very subjective things and it's incredibly difficult to convince someone that a particular guy "got bodied."
however, this battle was transparent as shit. everyone knows exactly what happened, why it happened, when it happened and who won.

Not just a one line rebuttal like most people do...he rebutted that Nice Charlie Brown scheme that Dan laid out so nicely with his own charlie brown scheme...but the STREET FIGHTER scheme was reaaaaaL nice! Still a nice battle tho!

Not that I'm surprised, but Clips got this 3-0. They both choked in round 2 but Dan's was way worse, and he choked again in the 3rd even worse than that. Dan is delusional, he wasn't even undefeated in the Bay before this murder. I would say I'm surprised Clips even wasted his time with this clown but he got paid so it is what it is. I hope he can finally find a matchup to motivate him like he was against Aye Verb or X-Factor though. No forgetting lines, just straight heat.
