I have the black falcon with tremola and split king pickups. I think the only difference between that and the STPL25 is your semi-hollow body with f hole. Mine sounds incredibly unique and amazing. It is my 9th guitar, ranging from 800 $USD and 4000 $USD, and I have no regrets. Fantastic engineering.
Is there a way to rewire the duesenburg electric guitar to inphase in the middle position for the bridge pickup for the double cat? I want a fuller sound.. it sounds to high pitched barky for my ears.. no offense intended, it’s just my ears and I love the sound of the bridge and neck pickups individually. I read that one could re-wire the middle position so that the bridge pickup will be in phase. If someone could give me some advice hear that would be great!
I purchased my new Fairytale Split/King lap steel last week. I was told it won't be here for six weeks or so. Can't wait. Please keep up the videos. I love learning about the guitars Duesenberg makes. Such a great product.
Very cool, always liked your pickups! Seymour Duncan has a humbucker called the stag mag which also uses magnet rods, but for both coils I think. The idea of matching it with a custom designed coil and magnet configuration does sound interesting. When can we hear it?
Gibson had the Magna and Magna Plus pickups in their Victory MVX in the 80's which were a single coil and a single humbucker bobbin, so that when split it was a real single coil. I have that guitar and it's stunning. Rare and different from most Gibsons

I like this, want to see more of this and want to test the Split/King on my good old Imperial
TLDR version: "Humbuckers and single coils are different constructions. You cannot cut a humbucker in half and pretend it's a real single coil. So we put together a single coil with one half of a humbucker. We do not explain why this is supposed to sound like a (as the claim in the description says) "a real humbucker" because humbucker and single coil are different constructions, which we ourselves just said two minutes earlier in this exact same video."
Hey there, thanks for the feedback! If we did explain how this works, everyone could do it, right? ;-) The secret is in what we said to be a "very specific and finely tuned coil" Go give them a try if you can!
its generally a better idea to listen to tone demos from unbiased sources, preferably in person at your local boutique, but at the very least from a review that isn't employed by them. Music professionals know how to edit audio before uploading to RUclips. Get tone demos from respectable and unbiased sources, and use **good** audio monitors or headphones. I fell in love with my Duesenberg when I picked it up at a Guitar Center in Hollywood. I told the salesman what tones and features I was seeking and he put a Duesenberg Falken with Tremola in my hands. I checked the reviews after I tried it in person. If you live far from a dealer/seller, your best bet is to watch as many videos as you can find to get a general idea. Don't trust tone demos from manufacturers or sponsored reviewers, they are paid to make you think it sounds better than it does. Do your research and you will get what you want, not what the seller wants to sell you. That applies to anything. I visited 8 guitar shops in Southern California before I found what I was looking for, and then I shopped online for the best price. It was worth the gas and time for such a large purchase.
The humbucker mode sounds way too bright and thin to my taste, to not say even screechy. A shame because the Jeff DaRosa Alliance model is truly a beautiful guitar, love it's simplicity and elegance (and that colour!), I wanted one until I watched some Senior and DaRosa guitar demos 🙁.
"Let me tell you how this is different"...its not though is it. Im sure they sound good but we have all seen this marketed by just about every brand for the last 40 years. Most people don't like them. I 100% guarantee I could get Seymour Duncan to amazon prime me something better sounding by 4pm tomorrow at a fraction of the cost. Sorry, but just facts.
What about going to another video where it is being reviewed by a less-biased source? Do you always trust the tone demo recorded by the manufacturer and uploaded to RUclips, without at least looking elsewhere and comparing? I bet you are using a cellphone speaker to judge it anyway. Stop looking for excuses to verbally attack strangers you will never face. Act like you were raised with social decency and civility.
I have STPL 25th anniversary: theses PU are exactly what you described. Great single tones and great humbucker tones! I love my Dues
Same here ! Nice pickups and love my 25th anniversary silver one

Please make more!
Great video! More of these, please

I would love to know more about the Phonic pickups
I wish you offered this pickup for sale in your webstore.
Hello. Is it like the original Fender Wide Range pickups ?
wo kann mann die kaufen ?
Nice to finally see Andrej!! nice video
When can we hear & buy separately 🙏🙏🙏🤓🧐🤔
So we got almost December and no news about this pickups. I'm dying to purchase Split/King!!! Guys, make it happen soon.
LOVE mine! The Falken's Split King introduced me to Duesenberg, which then introduced me to your Tremola. I'm in love.
Is this the same split pickup as in the Duesenberg Julia?
I have one myself and I am really happy with it.
Is it possible to buy theses pickups. I cant see them for purchase on site anywhere. I would love to grab some to try.
Great idea.
One video like this for Grand Vintage humbuckers would be great!
Cool. I'm looking forward hearing it and C comparing it to the split humbucker in my starplayer special.

Let me guess. Strat type single coil with magnet rods, combined with a small size “P90 type” coil and magnet construction?
You don't have to guess, he literally showed an exploded diagram of the pickups and explained them.

I'd absolutley love to try these out in one of my guitars. Also the Falken looks just so very tempting. Maybe I have to get another guitar, damn.
The Falken +Tremola became my 9th guitar. It is amazing. No regrets.
I'm one of those who'd like to hear it and have it separately if they are doing the job !
Now I have to have the Fairytale Split/King
Sound samples please.....

Alles schön und gut - was nützt es, wenn man die Teile nicht kaufen kann!

@k3x sounds like someone isn't happy with what they just bought 🤣
What about playing a guitar with that pickup and shutting the F up instead?

LOL do you work for Gibson? Is that why you are so angry?
