I too had a BOSE 321, with no power, it was caused by someone bending a pin on the power input from the sub woofer, shorted and voila no power on the receiver, called Bose Service and they said the receiver was in need of repair, send it to them for about $170. they will fix it! Then I ran across your video, same problem and an easy fix, so I gave it a shot , found the main fuse blown, went to Radio Shack and got a fuse and replaced it, Bingo , it's alive again! Thank You once again for sparking that idea in my mind, power to the receiver comes out of the subwoofer, and it is Fused!

They reap a huge reward due to how much people are willing to pay through the nose for that extra but rather sloppy deep end. Oh sure, its a better radio than most but not the kind of cash they get. There are SO many better sounding units for the money where some real nice crossover slopes and good speakers are put to the test, i.e. B&W Zeppelin for one. (heard that they had trouble with the airplay features on those but the sound is marvelous by comparison for the same or less moola..
I'll tell you what's missing from Bose... Quality! This is why i use Rotel (Roland), Yamaha, JVC/Kenwood (same company!), Mission, Eltax, Mordaunt-Short, Gale and even Pioneer! Even if it's not cheaper, i have a Yamaha DSP-A5 cinema amp from the year 2000, 20 years on it's still working perfectly! As is my now 4 year old Yamaha RX-V379, also supports 4K60p HDMI video! God that looks like a cheap nasty couple of chip amps in there.. A car stereo head unit is more reliable! Haha :D

The problem is best buy suggested I buy a regular CD DVD player and hook it to Bose system because the door is broken and it won't eject. So hooking up LG DVD and CD player it keeps saying no disk. I've tried aux nothing and audio only. if I have it connected to DirecTV I can watch and listen to surround sound but directly to TV I can't watch DVD in the other player, Vizio smart TV doesn't have a tuner so you have to use a converter box! Should I hook that up first? I only have a cheap antenna I heard your VHS has a antenna? I'd like to get rid of DirecTV and get sling TV instead! It's getting expensive to cut the cord! Hopefully you can help Thanks

I accidentally plugged in my soundtouch 30 into a 220v power supply. I heard sort of cracking noise and the speaker stopped working. The service center guys are charging way to much for repair. I think it's just the fuse that's damaged. I'd really appreciate some inputs from you guys.

I tried everything I do see the sink! I had a patient assistance take care of me after,6surgerys and he put a home made disk in and I don't think it went in straight. I turned around for a second and he was trying to take the top apart to get the disk out. I got it out it was okay for 3 X and after that shot the metal door, wait sorry plastic made to look metal is off and I'm sure dust is in the unit.Il watch video again maybe I can pull it apart otherwise I have a stereo and CD player
There's one on craigslist with a stuck dvd drive for 100 figured could probably talk down to 60-70. Would it be worth it. Sure I could fix the drive with ease but don't know if even at that price it would be worth it. Have the Wave Radio and know how disapointing they can be when heard from a store to having in an actual house. Not bad sound for size but for the price it's a bad buy.
people buy Bose products because it is pleasing to the ear. the price is decided by the customer whether to buy or not. they have been around forever, don't hold your breath for there not being around.

But, I give credit where credit is due: He helped me find the issue with mine - I just pulled it apart and the fuse is blown. For what it's worth, I love my Bose 3-2-1...mine went strong for 15 years (cranked to the max during several house parties) before it blew the fuse.
If your going to offer repair DIY vids stick to that. If you want to be a product reviewer do that pick one but don't make me listen to you commentary...oh yeah...i didn't.

After you remove the bad fuse, it is a good idea to add an inline fuse holder to make fuse replacements easier.
