Thanks a loot, got me some hours to get 1120mV 20%power 2600-2800Mhz, 2280Mhz mem stable for me, vid help me where I should start with my overclock, at 70% GPU usage I hit 200-250W and timespy run goes 363W stable for hours, I did feel that fan on GPU was too slow was fan speed at 50% when temp was 70C and hot spot hit for a second 97C scared me so I am using 70% fan curve at 70C and now avg temp 66C in timespy run for 20 loop.
When I rise power target I feel that 1120mV jump to 1200mV some times to make it stable but works great.

One thing with this card i found curious is that the 6950xt seems (at least in my case) more dynamic than my 6900xt. I actually had almost mirror settings to what you showed here for one of my profiles so that was cool! Left stock fan profile on the 3 i tested. Just as an example - 6950xt Reference - Horizon Zero Dawn @ 1440p Ultra in Benchmark averages (SAM Enabled):
    Stock (stock settings) = 164 FPS | edge temp 78c, junction 95c | Power Avg 284w | 1700rpm fans - fairly quiet
    Undervolted OC 1 = 174fps (-10% power limit, 2500 min/ 2665 max@ 1090mv, 2400 fast timing, stock fan profile) edge temp 69c, junction 81c | Power Avg 255w | 1540rpm fans - very quiet
Undervolted OC 2 = 177fps (+20% power, 2500min/2600 max @ 1110mv, 2400 fast timing, stock fan profile) 177fps | edge temp 73c, junction 87c | Power avg 274w | 2000rpm fan - noticable but not bad, could have lowered the cap for a little higher temps

I joined Team Red recently with a XTX and I can almost certainly say that the absolute values you can enter in Adrenalin for Core-Frequency and Voltage (Advanced Control) still only get translated from the relative values of the "normal" control. Absolute Values get rounded up and down to those translated from the relative values. Basically similar to the Memory-Frequency that also only jumps in intervals of ~14Mhz.

Tip: On voltage, it is important to define frequency first and then decrease vontage progressively until it crashes. Than you add some margin to make your gaming stable. I'm saying it because voltage, as Fabio said, is offset, not absolute value. So, in my case (6800 xt) I have to run voltage @ 1020mV for 2444mhz, but 990mV for 2565mhz, which could sound counterintuitive if you are not thinking offset.

You should test your overclocks with Port Royal, you will find that lower clocks sometimes will give you better performance. For example I can overclock my 6900 XT with core clock set at 2550Mhz-2650MHz but, when I reduce the clocks to 2450Mhz-2550Mhz with voltage set at 1050mV, I get much better performance. Could be the reason why (from your graphs) your overclocks without SAM enabled is not giving any extra performance. You actually got less performance in Assassins Creed as per your graphs.

What I ended up doing was setting the voltage control to -5, keeping stock clocks and voltage, and set a custom fan curve. It dropped my Timespy score from 19089 to 18498 but kept the delta T temps at or below 80c. I tested in Cyberpunk and averaged 83-95fps on ultra settings at 1440p.

    Hi,
well done tutorial video. Thank you :)
I'm new to AMD gaming gear.
Just got 6900 XT Asrock phantom gaming. Initially didn't want to overclock it but after i saw your video - tried OC/UV.
    Now it runs on:
    2400-2500 MHz
    1150mV
    VRAM 2110MHz (with default synchronization)
    Power limit maxed out.
    SAM enabled.
Nice performance uplift in Vermintide 2 (only game I tested for hours now), temps in check.
No crashes so far, so I believed it's pretty stable.
Same settings, newer game: Darktide.: some glitches /artifacts(?) started to appear. Tiny flickering pointed-down-triangles around light sources; some other weird geometric light effects on environment textures. The longer I played the more it was intensified. I noticed VRAM clock's were constantly around 2100Mhz (but overall GPU usage rarely peaked around 98%. More often it was lower.)
I'm fairly new to overclocking - Is it possible that VRAM clock alone was responsible for this?

Yeah these are my numbers too. It's weird because I own the Sapphire Nitro + 6900 XT and, over two years later, the Sapphire Nitro 6950 XT and the two produce completely different results lol. I can set, in MorePowerTool, the 6900 XT to 330W TDP (GPU), and set the clocks in Radeon Settings to 2685MHZ and as low as 1050mv with maxed memory at 2150MHZ.
On the 6950 XT side, I can set, in More Power Tool, the TDP (GPU) to 370W, and in Radeon Settings I can only go down to 1120mv. I cannot go down below that, even at the default clock speeds of something like 2500MHZ. I think I can at something odd like 1115mv @ 2500MHZ, but it isn't worth it. I may as well bump the voltage up to 1120mv and be able to go then up as high as 2700MHZ. So weird! I can go a little north of 2700MHZ on 1120mv, yet I can't go anywhere below 1120mv even at substantially lower clocks.
To make it more weird, I can't beat my own 23K TimeSpy score on my 6950 XT, Best I can get is 22,392 graphics score, using the above 2700MHZ @ 1120mv as being my tried and true best all-around results...unless of course I buy a water block.
On my 6900 XT, I can get little over 23K with 2685MHZ and 1060mv, but even if I put the voltages back to default 1.2v? I can't get the 6900 XT to go very far north of 2685MHZ (i.e. I crash at 2700 MHZ...unless it's a DX11 title.) So it's weird in that sense too.
I have therefore deduced that even in light of all this weirdness (there being very little crossover between the two)? The only explanation there is, is that the 6950 XT was designed to be A.) On water B.) Overclocked. Because at default voltages I can get that sucker to run 2800MHZ, but it's not practical, on account of the 105c+ junction temps. Meaning, this explains why I see people saying they overvolt these 6950 XT and run them at about 3GHZ on water and the temps are fine.

@@gavinsanchez7028 Thanks! I have been playing on 1080mV for 2 weeks now and had no issues yet.

Thx alot. Your tutorials are the best! Do you know anything about direct storage in amd drivers? are they already included in the new version?

    I m using 6900XT Toxic air.
If i use auto OC or Rage mode, it mostly averages at 2500Mhz.
After trying out 10 iterations of clocks n voltage in cyberpunk benchmark.
I started with your clock n voltage values and iterated upon them
My settings are 2500mhz min, 2750mhz max
    voltage 1140mV or 1150mV
Mem clock at 2150Mhz(max limit) and fast timings
power limit +15%(maximum allowed on Radeon software)
I was able to get game clock of 2690Mhz in Cyberpunk 2077 benchmark.
Going to 2800Mhz game will simply crash.
    Will post more updates soon.
But its result in fps is not that big , compared to the heat its putting out
probably 10fps more in Raster mode and 5fps more in RT mode.
Edit : Turned of fast timings, because it was giving stutters in gameplay, but them mem oc still works and core OC at 2680Mhz

Haven't overclocked with amds software and it seems to work a bit cleaner compared to MSI. So I thought I'd watch. I'm attempt in the future to overclock my red Devil 6950xt to the breaking point to participate in some of the world records. I set a unofficial world record for overclocking a 3060m which is funny as hell. I wanna see where I can bring this 6950

I prefer lower temperatures to silent but hot cards. The idea is that lower temperature make the boost clock a bit higher, but especially increase longevity of the card, since the heat stress it has to go through is much less.
