In Connections, I also saw the red "cattle" group first, but I didn't lock it in before I noticed the purple, and everything fit that way. I like when there's a red herring, since the instructions say you have to watch out for legit groups that don't leave a remainder that splits up.
Good Connections. Same score for me; I fell for the cattle red herrings too but eventuallly got all the categories. "Are there other snakes?" -- There is the bullsnake but there are still only 2 snakes in total. Tricky Mini. 1:40 for me. Tough Strands. Two errors for me: I tried ELLIPTIC and ELLIPTICS.
Blue was the leftovers for me today, I've never heard "cow" with that meaning.
That sense of “cow” is more common in derived words like coward and cower. You almost never see the normal present tense cow on its own.
I also fell for that Cow/steer red herring at first!
Oh god, I did the crossword today and had the same issue and had to do the same thing as you did. Well, I learned a new word today

So funny!! Thanks!! It took me 14 min. Lol.
Another connections with multiple "spannograms"! :D
I think GLOM is US usage only.
"Gloms onto" is very common! Surprised at you!
It's informal, North American slang. As with much slang, it's regional and also generational.
Strands was bad for me,had to use a hint, which is wild because I was at the gym while solving it
