Excellent explanation of going downhill over loose rocky terrain. I grew up riding this kind of terrain on dirtbikes, it comes naturally to me and it's hard for me to explain it new riders that I take on trails. I will be sharing your video with them. I have the rally too and love it, it's perfect for this type of riding.
Raff don't think Phil's up to that mate, his just not confident in himself. But awesome advice, he won't get better unless he does what u advise and practice👍💯🇦🇺
Phil should spend an afternoon riding down that on an enduro mountain bike. In no time he'd be smashing it. The moment he took his feet off the pegs...he was stuffed.
@raffs_adv of course, you never know if you'll be good at it otherwise. I find that it's intuitive or it aint though. Loved the way you explained that proper engine revs create your momentum, braking and traction all at the same time. I watch people ride so wrong, so often though. When you try to explain, they just draw a blank, shake their head, and continue exactly what they were doing wrong.😅
@ he did have the stock tyres on and the front is shit, not surprised he lost it. I hated the stock front I had no confidence at all with it, beating I did was put on new tyres 👍🏻

@@BrandonChennault thanks for your comment 👍
Great stuff Raff! Such good advice, rocky downhills can be pretty intimidating when you’re not used to them.

@@seawench555 Phil actually has a lot of year riding under his belt, but he’s still not confident enough in his ability.

@@andrewm190E yes, feet off was a huge mistake, 💯
I dropped mine on that side and broke off the gear shift lever at the pull rod. Had to ride home trying to hand shift.
@@joeyjoejoshabbadu7963 that’s no good, a bit of a ride stopper… luckily Phil did nothing more than a scratched bark buster.
Well... offroad aint for everyone.😅
@@phantomshtter nah, but we should all try.

@ I have been riding and racing since I was 5.5years old, I’m 56 now and I try to help everyone get the best experience from their bikes.
uhm, that's got nothing to do with 450MT vs 300 Rally...
@@FFLORO_45 It provides the level of terrain that the 300 can do easily compared with the 450, but there are more videos on the way.
Those bikes have so much engine braking I’m saving money on brake pads lol
@@EddyOtway be great, if only the engine was braking at the time.

I ride it in the next video or so, but I had to give it back, too heavy for me, T7 felt the same after the little Rally.
Tyre’s are fine for that hill, just a heavy lump getting unruly.
@@raffs_adv I don’t mind it, it’s not so top heavy, I should come up for a ride
I don’t think he’s happy happy raff.
Nah , Phil’s always like that… he’s a big powder puff haha
