    Video Transcript:
Recently I discovered that there's a groups of people out there who wish that they could make crow calls and yet don't know how to make crow calls. So this is a very sad thing and so in this video I'm going to share 2 steps to crow calling greatness.
So basically if you break the way that you make a crow call, the sound down into parts that you can do vocally the first part is just like a vocal in your throat. Anyone who can speak can actually make a sound like, 'who who' and that doesn't sound very much like a crow but then when you add the second part in... Another very easy to make sound that I call the throat garble, when you put that with the first sound you get the crow sound.
So playing with those two things I think you'll get it pretty quick and then once you have those two pieces in place there are just like a few other ways to just kind of play with it and get some variation on it.
One of the things that you can play with it is just like the shape of your mouth. So you can make a call with an open mouth, or by closing your mouth you can make a different sound.
Another thing you can work with is your hands, and that gets a different sound, and of course then playing with the emphasis & volume, intensity, you can make some pretty good crow calls.
So have fun playing with that. I hope that's helpful for anyone who hasn't been able to make a crow call you should be able to do it with just a little bit of practice so you can get out there and play some tricks on people or on crows although crows are usually a little bit more difficult to trick than people.

I used this so I could go to my high schools talent show. I wore a crow mask and a cloak. I had previously made a scrap banjo. I used the scrap banjo and the crow call to perform the show anonymously as "The Crow". I then preceded to sit down on the stage playing paint it black by rolling stones on my scrap banjo and imitating vocals with crow calls.

Your'e a man after my own heart making crow calls. I found a way to call to them and a pair kept circling and getting close to me. This embarrasses my husband when I stop and call to the crows as we walk the dogs. I said, "Isn't this great! I'm probably the first human that ever called to them! He doesn't share my enthusiasm. lol

I just love crows after getting to interact with one on a restaurant deck in Biloxi, MS. The crow shuffled through the sweeteners and only took sugar packets, two to be exact then flew off and came back and did the same at another table. I saw the crow picking at leftovers till the waitress took the plates so i seized the moment and held up a scrap and the crow came over to the rail and i got to hand feed it, just really cool experience for me. Thanks for taking the time to teach us

fun when my calling gets better and can call in a few crows.

I appreciate you sharing your knowledge about crows :-) I feed them daily, with food scraps (never spoiled food-I love my crows) and have been for several years. I think I may be able to call them trying your techniques. People would be awestruck if they knew how intelligent and adaptable these birds really are! I have learned their cries when fending off a predator at the nest, watched them dive-bomb hawks... they are fearless when it comes to their clans! One thing I could never do was "talk" to them. I am going to try it! Thank you :-)

Has anyone tried breathing in while trying to do the crow noise? The way I do it is probably weird, but I unhinge my jaw, and basically try and pronounce 'AW' with my vocal cords while I'm breathing in. I think that you need to use your diaphragm to do so. I don't know. All I do know is I threw up stomach acid in 6th grade.
