He did not. He was a practical man n not an emotional fool as shown in the film. The film is highly inaccurate n based on Marathi fiction. Lovestory is made by fiction. Marriage of a Hindu brahmin man n a muslim woman of Iran origin was a fantasy which led to lovestory.
Nobody is denying that he never lost a battle. He is considered the second greatest personality in Maratha history after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
