"Popcorn and a movie kind of blanket"! Perfect description! Absolutely hate blankets that make you choose between cold feet or cold shoulders. Great video!
I was thinking about trying the green bernat in a size 5 heddle, to make a denser fabric for a pillow! I don't think the Plush will fit into the 5 but it would be fun to try.
Love it, I really like how the green came out, but green is my favorite so I'm biased. You've done a wonderful job! Would love to see you work with a velvety yarn like chenille, I'm curious if it'd be too slippery to work with or if that would make it easier to speed by?
Thank you so much! It might not come across on camera, but both of these yarns are listed as chenille or "chenille-style." I know what you mean though, and I would love to do a slicker, more velvety yarn too. I really appreciate the suggestion! ☺️☺️
I like how the Bernat looked like a clasped weft weave. The Twist came out pixelated in look. I’m curious about the issue of worming. Could you give an update about that after you’ve used them and laundered them?
It's interesting because I thought the Big Twist looked beautiful when it was warped, but I was a little disappointed with the pattern it made in the weft. The Bernat was more organic looking, which I love. My husband has claimed the Big Twist, so I can update on how they do. The green one is a gift so I'll probably never know, unfortunately.
Actually, I just crocheted panels together to make the blankets. I considered double weave, but I thought it would be better to use a method everyone can try. 😊
I’ve always worried about getting panels the same length. Any problems with that? Also where did you get that huge curved needle for your hemstitch and sewing? Great project! ❤ I didn’t realize Ashford heddles came that large.😅
I always mean to try using a paper tape measure or piece of string, but then just end up winging it.🫢 If there's a huge difference between 2 panels, then I either shorten or lengthen one. My husband brought that needle home for me from an old job. It's beautiful but really sharp! I think it's for leatherwork? I bought that heddle ages ago not realizing how big the holes were, and just used it for the first time. 😆
For the most part, I ended and started the yarn at the selvedge, then wove it up through the selvedge before crocheting the trim. I think there were one or two spots where I got distracted and forgot to take it all the way to the selvedge, so I overlapped the old and new yarns by a few inches, then wove them in after wards. This yarn is so thick and fuzzy that it's really easy to hide ends, which is nice! 😁

Sono contento che ti sia piaciuto. Grazie per l'attenzione! 😊😊
You could use your leftovers to make either pillows or pockets for the blankets (to keep your hands warm or to hold snacks).

Love this, Thank you. What stitch did you use to join the panels?
Thank you! It was a single crochet. 🙂
Thanks, love the blankets! Did you do double weave how did you get a blanket off your smaller loom?

Lovely projects! How did you join ends when you ran out of weft yarn on your shuttle?

@ thank you! I wish Schacht had a 2.5 dent!!
Love them both!! How did you seam the panels together?
OH! I forgot to mention that I crocheted them. 😊
@@magpieandmolly that’s what I was thinking. I saw a project the other day where a lady knitted her weavings together and made a top.
@rebeccakent2414 cool! There are so many things I want to try, I need more hands! 😆
@@magpieandmollyhaha, me too girl. Let me know if you find them.
What size heddle did you use with the yarn?
2.5! It's so big. 😁
@@magpieandmolly love both blankets! where did you find 2.5" dent heddle? I don't see them online anywhere!
@@tracinickerson307 I got mine at woolery.com. It's for my Ashford loom. I'm not sure if any other looms go as big as 2.5?
