What kind of paints can be used with marble smoking? That looks deceiving and funny technique to use. There are wooden pillars in Keuruu's wood church in Finland, which are either painted by hand or used this method to look marble pillars.
I’ve only tried linseeds oil paint. Bet others can work too. But not like, watercolour, and similar. Yeees, I love those! I’ve never seen a pillar that was painted with smoke, only seen with brushes and such. I THINK the best results with smoke comes when you can turn the object around, buy holding it in your hands. Guess one could put a BIG object in some kind of tool (like a big lathe)…
