  • In this video I cover part 3 of the styles series in dealing with the ResourceDictionary and then using multiple dictionaries within MergedDictionaries.
It's been a while since I made a video so I hope I didn't lose my touch too much! Let me know what you liked, didn't like, or would like to see improved. Also feel free to recommend future content!

Good job, mate! You explained a magnificent system to create fast layouts in a very easy way. It shows you know your stuff!
I am basically a graphic designer and have worked for 30 years with Adobe PageMaker, FrameMaker, Illustrator, Quark Xpress and InDesign and they work all this way, only in a more graphic way, but it comes all down to good organisation and in this case good and simple code and you can make lay-outs in no time!
So glad I found your videos! Be encouraged to make more of other subjects! You are on my list!

Thanks! I really appreciate these videos especially when you point out where you're unsure and still learning.

Thank you! I do try my best to inform people watching that information should always be confirmed with personal research. I often encounter many inaccurate teachings in my journey of learning and hope to encourage others to be cautious as well. We all fall prey to inaccurate informarion sometimes. Thanks again!

Hey Tosker, thank you for the tutorial. I jumped into a developed WPF app a while back and I never learned the basics. It's good to go over it again and make the puzzle pieces fit into place.

Thank for all your videos! you helped me alot with wpf.
can you make videos about control templates? I tried to use those but it didn't go well.

Thank you, I am glad I have been of help. I will add control templates to my list of videos to make -- I have more to learn in regards to logistics before I feel confident enough to make a professional video on them(I often like making videos that show an understanding and not just a "how to"). However, I do have videos "XAML WPF - Watermark/Placeholder Textbox" Part 1 and 2 that do have control templates used in them. You may find it interesting, though it does not explicitly cover control templates.

I have been struggling trying to get a double animation into my resource dictionary. Any idea on how to do it? (It's fairly simple animation)

Hi, thanks for the follow up. Content is good and explanations are nice and clear. Could you please upload videos at a higher resolution? I notice that it is not sharp, as opposed to other videos I watch.
Also, you might consider getting a bitcoin/ether wallet, and create a TIP JAR in your notes section. Then just paste your wallet addresses and ppl can then tip you with cryptocurrencies. Maybe you can upgrade your mic with donations ... ;-)
    Thanks for the videos !

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, the quality of the video did drop a bit, I need to tinker around with the settings (And post production zooming). I do have crypto wallets, and that is actually a good idea and I will add them to my video descriptions. Thanks for the suggestion! A new microphone would be nice lol.
