Welcome to the birth of a legend. Here’s a little background info on Angelina. “When I sing I go to another world. The world is endless. It's like, full of happiness. I love it. It's amazing. And when I am on stage, I don't want to go [leave the stage]. [laughing]. I just want to be on stage" A snippet of Skaylan’s interview of Angelina Jordan (age 12) on Norwegian TV - November 2018. ♥👣👸🏻🎷 What you will soon realize is that Angelina today at 17 Angelina is already the best Jazz singer on the Planet! IMO Soon to be one of the Best Vocalists of All Time. ♥👣👸🏻 Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her next performance was a beautiful rendition of 'Bang, Bang' by Sonny & Cher and performed most famously by Nancy Sinatra. She won the competition with what I consider her first Masterpiece performance of 'Summertime' by George Gershwin. Shortly after winning she was designated a National Treasure by the Norwegian people. ♥👣👸🏻 There is video of Angelina recorded by her mother Sarah Astar singing a couple of lines of "I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston when she was 18 months old. She started studying all the greats of Jazz soon after under the guidance of her Iranian Grandmother Mery Zamani a child prodigy in her own right as an artist and poet. English is Angelina's 3rd language behind Norwegian and Farsi along with Japanese and some German and perhaps more. She did this from 2 & 3 yrs old by scrolling thru RUclips of all their most Iconic performance. Angelina doesn't just mimic these greats, she reinterprets them and then simply sings them the way they were meant to be sung. She makes them her own. Angelina was begging her mother to go on "that Simon show" when she was 3 yrs old. encouraged to sing children songs, she would have none of that. Angelina chooses her own songs and she is absolutely fearless. No song is too big and no artist is too Iconic. All the most Iconic songs by the most Iconic singers in music history. Angelina has said singing to her is as important to her as breathing. ♥👣👸🏻 She will sing anything Acapella at any time and often does. Her Tic-Toc is full of these impromptu performances wherever she might be whether in the car, walking around the neighborhood or in a parking Garage. Accompanied by most often a simple guitar or piano her performances are always incredible. Add a band or even a full orchestra as in her performance for Quincy Jones at his request singing his arrangement of 'Fly Me to the Moon'. The same arrangement he did for Frank Sinatra. This opened for his 85th birthday celebration at the 02 Arena in London. ♥👣👸🏻 She is well known worldwide in the industry. Her family and Angelina have been holding back turning down many of the biggest in the industry while she finishes school. Remember she just turned 17 January 10th. They finally signed with Republic Records about three years ago after getting a deal that gave her control of her artistic vision and has since released 2 originals, 'Million Miles' & '7th Heaven' plus the opening soundtrack for the New Movie "The Hating Game" with her song 'Mercy' performed most notably by Duffy. Republic has labeled her their Highest Priority and assigned a team to her including Rob Christy a multiple Grammy Winner, often on the piano in many of her performances and a whole team of equally qualified professionals. She has worked with some of the best musicians in the industry and always get exactly what she wants. Some call her the Boss and have immense respect for her. She is due to release her 1st album promised by Angelina to be soon. She has been diligently perfecting her craft since winning Norway's Got Talent singing all over the world, Germany, Japan, Korea as well as TV appearances such as The View, Little Big Shots and most notably America's Got Talent where she premiered her Iconic Performance of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' which Queen gave her the copyright for. Her version is available on iTunes and Spotify & is included on her Album 'Magic' which she released on her own along with a Christmas Song collection. After Heidi's golden buzzer for her audition of BR, Angelina went directly to the finals where she sang YBR. After the "secret voting", she placed 6th in the competition and was eliminated from the competition. After first refusing to sign with AGT because of contract demands, a re-worked contract was eventually signed which freed Angelina from any commitments or record deal if she performed. She has also sung for Many Heads of State including Barack Obama and a couple of songs opening for Norah Jones in Korea. She also sang at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert at 8 yrs old for Malala and another recipient. Mostly she has sung for charities helping raise millions for children charities and climate change. The great part is that most of it has been well documented often by herself and her family. Her Grandmother who introduced her to Jazz at 3 & 4 yrs old is behind the camera more than anyone else. Love the reactions. Get ready for a deep dive. She is worth it! Love from the Land of Vikings ♥👣👸🏻 Why Angelina always performs barefoot♥👣 For those who do not know. At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina says she still thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. 'Between Two Hearts' Angelina Jordan interviewed by Anne Lindmo, NRK TV "Lindmo" 14/11/2015 (eng & esp sub) ruclips.net/video/-cCLDY0CSZ8/видео.html ♥👣👸🏻🎷
Sir, when she was six years old, she promised a homeless girl (in persian Farsi) in the Middle East to perform without shoes until every child on Earth has shoes. She keeps this promis to this day. Be safe. Elmar from Germany
@@VikingReacts Our girl is one of those people we call highly gifted. I had the honor to meet some six year old kids like that. It is creepy. Miss Angelina´s mind is at least 20 to 30 years older than her body. Because her family is very international, Dad and family is swedish, Mom is norwegian, but moms mom is iranian (famous painter and poetress) and moms dad was a real japanese GENTLEMAN. Angelina insisted in her social media on this and I concur. So Miss Angelina speaks today fluently Swedish, Norwegian, English, persian Farsi and Japanese. She knows how to use a guitar and a piano. On her piano at the studio (they built her a own studio) she composes and does some TicTocs. So jetzt habe ich Ihnen die Ohren vollpalavert. Ich hoof dies trägt zum Verständnis bei, woher Frau Angelinas Gaben kommen. Herzliche Grüsse aus dem Schwabenland.
You'll get plenty of comments on AJ's background -- and the reason she never wears shoes while performing. Great first reaction. Note that AJ is only 16 in this video. The pianist is Rob Christie, head of production at Republic Records, and winner of multiple Grammys.
The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - the preteen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette and the Piano Player is Rob Christie Director of the Republic Records Los Angeles Studio which is the record label that Angelina has been signed with since she was 14 years old.
Her hair was in homage to Priscilla Presley. The leather black suit and red guitar is homage to what Elvis wore in his Comeback show in 1968. Even the color the piano player is wearing is the color Elvis’s backup singers wore in the Comeback.💞🎼
She is one of a kind the g.o.a.t. she has 200 covers and originals you need to hear I put a spell on you 9 years old one of her best and she has a lot of them Wild bill
In the last few months Angelina has released 7 original songs, an EP titled "Old Enough" with 6 songs & a new single called Our Time. Only 2 come with a music video, Love Don't Let Me Go & Now I'm the Fool, the first 2 tracks on her EP. All others are audio only, but all 7 are winners & worthy of a reaction to bring you up to date with Angelina today.
Thanks for your reaction! She is only 17 years old today and from Norway. She signed with the label Republic Records just 14 years old, I think we can safely leave the promotion to Republic Record. Marketing will start when they are ready There's only one EP with 6 songs she's released from RR no. Republic Records know 100% what they are doing? I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life (17). She performed FIFA AWARD song, and performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones. She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on RUclips with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar. The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a "plastic artist" who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly. She already eats most female vocalists for breakfast, and the label Republic Records and the rest of the music industry know that too! Angelina Jordan has nothing to prove. When she sometimes belts is it because the fits in the performances. She sings to us only she can do! Angelina recently had a sold-out concert in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where there was an audience from many different country all the way from Australia and from 39 different states in the USA.
Here is a great example of how Angelina sounded in the Summer of 2022 at age 16 performing live - this video is part of a documentary about the 2022 Kongsberg Jazz Festival in Norway - There is a short interview of Angelina in the beginning followed by her performing two of her original songs live in concert: ruclips.net/video/HKK66K5u1Fc/видео.html
*YOUR REACTION WAS PRICELESS, & MADE ME FEEL THE SAME WAY I DID THE 1ST TIME I HEARD THIS* I am so jealous, that you are just discovering the wonder, that is Angelina Jordan!!! You are truly in for the ride of your life 😊 I am often at a loss for words, when trying to describe Angelina Jordan's voice, or what genre she fits in, & I have accepted, she does not fit in any category, or genre, & is simply in league all of her own.....❤ 💚 💜 Every time I hear Angelina sing, I picture her stepping out of an old black & white movie, to transport us back in time, so we can fall in love with these genuine masterpieces again! Really enjoyed your raw, informative & emotional reaction** ❤ 💚 💜 ***ANGELINA JORDAN IS TRULY A UNIQUE MASTERPEICE*** ❤ 💚 💜 Really enjoyed your reaction!!!
When Angelina sings "when an old friend stops by to say hello", I get very emotional, wishing all my old friends could stop by to visit. I also feel like Angelina is an old friend who now stops by often to sing a song to me. Her storytelling is off the charts. Easily my all time favorite musical artist. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. The book"Between Two Hearts" was published when she was 9 years old but it is based on her duaty from the ti.e of her encou ter with the gurl at age 6. What kind of chikd keeps a diary ar afe 6 and haa the thoughts she expresses. The art work in the book is by her grandmither, Merry Simani a famous Iranuan artist. I highly recommend the book to anyone interested in Angelina.
My thoughts on this, Power & Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on YOUTube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani. She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday’ and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Her tribute to Elvis is at her present age, today, each stage represented by her cousins and sister and ending with Angelina herself on the couch still admiring all this history surrounding her. The beautiful rendition of the song, and other tributes are in the leather outfit, Guitar and hair a tribute to Priscilla. 🔥🔥🔥♥👣
Your right that Bohemian Rhapsody was good and different. When Queen members her this rendition they were so impressed they allowed her license to record her version. Very unique. She has become friends with Priscilla Presley and is photographed at the opening with family and cast at the opening of Elvis movie this year! My point is she shows great humility and reverence to those singers she covers! Great reaction. Thanks🎉
You need to go back and listen to Her early music to see how much she has grown. You also need to familiarise Her back story and why She is barefoot. You will like Her even more.
A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. As usual, a vocal master piece. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on RUclips. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on RUclips went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RUclips video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RUclips. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On RUclips, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”. Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. It Was a great concert, who was not and could regret it, a big mistake.
Thanks for posting my biography of Angelina. Recently we learned Gerry Slattman was Angelina's adopted father so I have deleted the sentence with Sara's name and Gerry's name. Would appreciate you doing the same in the future.
@@andyschnell58 I also saw that information about adopted father, but only once which made me suspicious if that information was correct. At Norway's got Talent Angelia mentions her dad and he can be seen carrying Juliette. Later on he is, however, very seldom mentioned. But anyway, perhaps better to leave out detailed information on private matters.
...oh - and I know, even Angelina wrote it is an Elvis-Cover - but in fact Elvis did also a cover of this song: Originary it is from Mark James (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspicious_Minds) ;-) And here links to Mark James singing Suspicious Minds: Audio only: ruclips.net/video/mFP0EP-Oi2I/видео.html and Live in TV: ruclips.net/video/r2Ip_3tdpBk/видео.html. Stay well and healthy, best regards from Berlin/Germany Andreas 😎
Republic has done a masterful job with all of her recent recordings and videos. Angelina and her family have it all together. Angelina enjoys the luxury of having the best of everything to usher forward her career to be the greatest vocalist in human history.
Elvis wore black leather and played a similar red Hagstrom Viking guitar during his "comeback special" in 1968, so your observation was accurate. Angelina recorded this tribute around the time the most recent Elvis biopic hit the box office. The glitzy opening credits are presumably inspired by those of the movie billboards.
I may. I’ve seen a few suggestions that sparked my interest. Fever is one of those songs that reminds me of my ballroom dancing days. I loved to dance the Slow Fox to that song… so… yeah ;)
I don't think she has covered Fever tbh. I have been following her for 10 years, and that would be something new to me. I hope I'm wrong though.. 😉 But there are roughly 200 other covers out there that she has done😆@@VikingReacts
I hope you continue reacting to Angelina's music, went she was younger to the present time now 16 years old! This video was a family affair, with her Grandmother Mery Zamani as Ex-Producer, her Uncle Mike's two daughters, and her sister Juliette as the young girl growing up. The symbolism from the dust flying off the piano representing the past, Elvis's Black jumpsuit, and the red guitar he played during his come-back tour in1968, to Priscilla Presley's hairdo was pure genius in storytelling. Most of all Angelina sang in a deeper mature voice drawing you into "Suspicious Minds", told through Priscilla's perspective during their troubled marriage, by slowing down the song's tempo and allowing the lyrics to tell the story. Angelina Jordan has developed her style of singing that sets the mood of all her songs. She is a pure Artist!
Elvis sang a ton of covers, heck some of them are among his best work. In fact he covered suspicious minds. But I agree, Elvis would most certainly love the performance.
… ELVIS and ANGELINA... my absolute favourites!! … What a great tribute to the King! Elvis would be honored and speechless 😮!! … I can't even describe how incredibly good these two are!!… Phenomenal!! ✨💎✨ 🕺🏻🎸🕯Thank you
From one Viking to another, SKOL Vikings. They are killing the Saints right now 24-3 Great reaction. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6 Fire! 🔥🔥🔥♥👣
Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out later this year. Angelina just recently released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to be a superstar, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much! By the way, she's around 6 feet tall!
Angelina has over 200 videos on RUclips, and in the opinion of this 69 year old, they are all worth listening to. If you sample her videos from the beginning at age 7 when she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent, and follow up until today, you will see her ability to do any genre, sing high notes or go very low and her voice always touches me emotionally on a very deep level. She touches the soul and pulls the emotion up through your heart.
@@VikingReacts Sadly most of Angelina's videos are scattered over many channels on RUclips. Please search "Angelina Jordan every song" to access a fan made playlist. Even better, each video on the BigAngiefan channel, in the description, is a road map to finding almost all Angelina videos.
@@VikingReacts The thing is, she only has a fraction of her performances on her own two channels. Most is at like at TV station channels, fan recordings of concerts, etc. She did slightly more than 200 different titles, but as many were done at different occasions, with different arangements, etc., there are rather close to 400 unique performances of hers available on RUclips, plus many more rehearsals.
@@VikingReactsThis should help..a chronological playlist of 202 of her performances ruclips.net/p/PL2v8kgVeo4EbQD6l_WAVjOfItquzW7oEc&si=kHAERTkSuRS5LOu3
@@VikingReacts, I have 3 or 4 different playlists on my RUclips page. I started with "Angelina Jordan everything I can find", then added "Angelina Jordan, interviews, clips and anything else I can find about her" and then when she was signed by Republic Records at 14 I started "Angelina Jordan after signing with Republic Records". All totaled they have 787 videos. Some are the same song done at different venues or ages. Some are different fan videos. She has her Official Channel, her Cover Channel and then there was the fan page that her Grandmother started and posted most of the videos of her younger years. Some are Tik Tok and Instagram shorts. I just saved everything I could find. Oh yeah, there is a playlist titled "Best Reactions" and the majority of those are reactions to Angelina. Over 7 years of saving her videos.
Love you reactions! Please watch her audition on Norway's Got talent from when she was 7 years old. There is a video with all 4 performances on it if you don't want to watch each one individually. She won the show by the way at 8 years old. She only gets better with time! You should also check out her cover I put a Spell On You that was a tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins! You won't be disappointed! You have ventured down another huge rabbit hole my friend!
Nicely done Viking.... have seen many of your other reactions to bands and such and nice to see you here with Angelina, my absolute favorite Female vocalist. (Also rather partial to The Warning Band as well) This is a full on tribute to one of her idols which I am sure you will hear about. BTW, you mentioned she looks "tiny", in reality at age 17 now she is nearly 6 ft tall, in the bare feet, and the bare feet is another incredible story associated with this young lady. Thanks for reacting.🥰🥰
You could pick anything that Angelina has done and not be disappointed, but I recommend that you watch her rendition of “I Put A Spell On You” at 9 years old, her own arrangements based on the original by Screaming Jay Hawkins. It will blow you away!
I absolutely love this song!! As you said, so warm and emotional. I love Angelina's voice and have never tired of it. I wait with baited breath for the each new song to come out. She never disappoints! ❤
Thank you for reacting to Angelina. I hope you will feature her man re times on your channel, for she is , in my opinion, the most versatile and talented singer living today. There are many comments giving you information about Angelina, but none of them mention her height, Currently she stands between 5ft 10 in to 6ft 1 in. I mention the two heights because although I seem to remember that her mother told a fan at the New Hampshire concert her height, I cannot remember what she said. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).
She was barefoot while she was standing, singing. On the couch, she was not singing and was wearing Blue Suede Shoes!❤😊👏👏👏 Thanks for the awesome reaction! You have a new sub. And I'm from Minnesota, USA....Viking country! SKOL!🏈😅❤
First I must say, I absolutely adore Angelina! I have followed her since her Norway’s got talent! She always puts her own spin on covers, which I like to think of as her “Uncovers.” She is magical in re-creating things. Her version of “Suspicious Minds” is one of my favorites! She was inspired by Billie Holiday, Whitney Houston, Dinah Washington, Amy Winehouse, and Norah Jones. Some may disagree with me here, but I'm sorry, I can hear a bit of Cher in there at times.....listen for it. Angelina has breadth and depth that are amazing! She vows to never wear shoes on stage again until all the little boys and girls in the world have shoes. Great story from her own experience about why you always see her barefoot on stage. Angelina has such a soft heart and very deep emotions that she can't hide....just another part of her beauty! Love you Angelina ❤
Actually, her performance, at age 13, of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT - The Champions I was not an audition, it was her first song in the competition. She didn't need an audition since she had won Norway's Got Talent when she was eight years old. She got a Golden Buzzer for that performance, so went directly to the "live" show, where she sang Elton John's "Yellow Brick Road." Queen loved her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody and granted her the copy rights for her version. Although she, nor any singer, won that show, she won the hearts of America, which suited her well. Later that year, at 14, she signed with Republic Records. She has sung about 9 original songs since then for Republic. They do not seem to have the copyright of her 5 concerts (4 in Norway in 2022) or her covers.
The more you watch Angelina the more you realise you cannot pigeonhole her. She flexes her vocal characteristics any way she pleases. There is no real Angelina style other than unpredictably brilliant. Light breathy, high low, rich, bright, flexible. She sang HOW GREAT THOU ART in the same key as Elvis at 11. Its only when you have seen that or her Etta James cover of ID RATHER GO BLIND that you realise the airy light tone in Bohemian Rhapsody was a choice her new work is different genre cocktails of Soul, Pop, Jazz, , R&B and even one line of lyric Rap. Please eact to her OLD ENOUGH EP. Seguctive vocsls, great beats and lyrics. Pianist grammy winning Rob Christie.. one of her great supporters in Republic Records.
Great reaction and insight. Here are all the basics, including why she is barefoot! Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy. She is now 17, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records when she was 14. She was not widely promoted for a few years, as her family wanted to allow her a normal childhood. However, things are changing rapidly as she has now graduated school. She has recently released two original music video singles from Republic Records, Love Don't Let Me Go, and Now I'm the Fool, coinciding with her new six song EP called Old Enough. The four other songs have been released as visualizers, but where it is that videos are coming. A world tour is in the works, likely for the fall, accompanying her full album release. Here is a chronological playlist from ages 6 to 17, of Angelina's 200 videos including tiktok and Instagram. The list begins with some originals, her EP, and a few specialty songs. Then it starts chronologically beginning with Gloomy Sunday at age 7 on NGT. ruclips.net/p/PL2v8kgVeo4EbQD6l_WAVjOfItquzW7oEc Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even donated her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond. Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. I trust this will cause you to embrace her as millions of others have, and that you will continue down the rabbit hole from which you will not want to escape. Peace and love. Please continue to include in your description the artist Official Channel as well as the original video, if you have not already done so. Verbally encouraging your viewers to like comment and subscribe to yours and the artists' videos and channels boosts subscriptions and algorithms for both of you.
You said that she looked so small for such a big voice....with them 6 inch heels and her hair piled up 8 inches on top of her head, she's over 7 foot tall hehe
You have to appreciate the Norwegian superstar getting reactions from the Viking! Check out her really early work on Norway’s got talent. Bang Bang was my favorite of the four songs she performed on that show back in 2014.
Hi Viking, You should react to anglinas cover of You Say Live from her 2021 online chrismas concert. She was only 15. Its beautiful. Better than the original IMO. Then after that my all time favorite of hers at any age, Million years ago at age 12. It shows her highs lows and just quality of her voice. The G.O.A.T !
There is a lot in this video that some people miss as AJ pays tribute to Elvis,, her black leather jumpsuit, the red guitar he played in his "68 comeback tour, the song itself charted for many weeks in "69, the Percilla beehive hairdo, the blue suede, shoes on the couch, even the three little girls representing Lisa Marie growing up in the glitz and glamor of Grace Land (the setting of the antique shop) and even the red outfit that Rob Christy is wearing at the piano was like Elvis back up artist in '68.... Grandma Mery produced this, Rob Christy piano player had 2 Grammy, and the 2 baby girls are AJs cousins (her uncle/managers girls, and the 11year old girl is her sister Juliette.. there are many many many more show stopping performances that AJ has done since she was 6 years old and you need to see them all about 200 before she was 16 in this video
We all know Elvis sang terrific ballads, (In The Ghetto, Love Me Tender and on and on!) Why he chose to Rock this song I don't know. But Angelina sang it the way it was meant to be!!!😊
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6 For those that do not know. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. You being a proffest Queen Fan you absolutely have to react to her tribute to Freddie Mercury "The Show Must Go On " she rocks it !!! BTW the guy playing the piano is Rob Christie a 2 time Grammy winner and a vice president at Republic Records and is overseeing Angelina's career at Republic. She was designated their highest priority young talent...
And they just built a recording studio exclusively for her. That happened before she has generated more than a few dollars in revenue. That's all gonna change when she will be promoted. She turns 18 on January 10th, so the end of the music industry as we know it is nigh. Angelina has arrived. And she WILL take over 👍👍
Well, as far as I remember the Elvis version of this song is a cover too, so clearly he would have no reason to disapprove. Also: You ain't seen nothing yet until you have seen her version of I Put A Spell On You as a 9 year old: ruclips.net/video/nwFloCPXzCs/видео.html
Fin reaktion, hirdman. You described what I felt about this performance very well. How about her singing "I put a spell on you". At 9 y.o, she does it better than Screaming J. Hawkings... Take care and greetings from Jonas Gothenburg Sweden.
She started singing at one and a half years old and she started with jazz,, she's from Norway,, English is not her native language,, you should watch ( wrapped in a warm blanket ) They tell a short story about her life up to 2013, They show her singing at 1 and a 1/2 I talk about why she doesn't wear shoes about her writing a book she also plays 4 musical instruments,, She has some of her own songs,, She won Norway got talent age 7,,, She was on America got talent age 13,, She is now 17 ,, She started singing Jazz when she was young,, She loved Billy holiday many others,, She was 9 years old when she sang,, I put a spell on you,,, By screaming j Hawkins,, She has sang Whitney Houston songs,, Michael Jackson songs,, Adele , , Hundreds of different songs,, She wrote a song about her grandfather who died,, You should start with her younger years first,, Because she sings a lot of covers now she sings more originals,, I also like her song, I'd rather go blind cover,, There's a lot of us who love her they all send you lots of comments they have lots of information,, Have fun enjoy,,,
This was a cover for Elvis, too. Not his original. And Angelina actually did it more like the original. Plus she turned this into a fitting tribute to the Elvis/Priscilla story. Current in 2023: Her EP, OLD ENOUGH Six songs, two have videos, the other four are audio, but ALL are incredible. She takes you on a journey of vocal and rhythmic twists and turns and occasional istrumental surprises. All original songs. Grandma Ellen, out.
It is actually a cover of a Mark James song. Not wanting to burst any bubbles but Mark never liked what Elvis did with his song. I think he would have preferred Angelina's more. Mark wrote several songs that Elvis covered. I liked Elvis but my older sister Luuuuuuuuuved Elvis. I think Angelina loves Elvis also, but his version isn't what she hears her voice singing. I think E would have enjoyed singing with AJ and his daughter, whom Angelina also liked very much. One other thing Queen liked her version of Bohemian Rhapsody enough that they gave her the right to copyright her version. Oh and the bare feet? She made a promise to a young orphan girl in Iran when she was 6 years old and has kept that promise.
Elvis did not write his songs, so all of his were covers.. She selects songs that have lost their message by the singer. She makes sure the feelings come through.
Welcome to “The World Of Angelina Jordan Astar” (full name). “The Barefoot Princess With The Velvet Voice And A Mona Lisa Smile”. Born Jan 10, 2006 in Oslo Norway. From her audition on Norway’s Got Talent (2014 - age 7 - Gloomy Sunday "Billy Holiday") through the final on America’s Got Talent The Champions (2020 - age 13 - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road "Sir Elton John") and the 130+ videos in between you will not be disappointed. This includes three originals song: “What Is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” Since then she has done many new covers and now her new singles "Million Miles" and “7th Heaven”, along with her movie soundtrack "Mercy" from the motion picture “The Hating Game”. As well as her brilliant version of Elvis’s “Suspicious Mind”. She released her latest album “Old Enough” and it is definitely some of her best stuff. My personal favorite is her cover of Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die". Although the soundtrack is really growing on me.
I think Elvis would be ok with covers since he was a cover artist himself 😀. Suspicious Minds was written and first recorded by Mark James. Other people wrote all his songs, but he was given cowriter credit as part of the deal when they wrote for him. According to a list, Suspicious Minds, Blue Suede Shoes, C.C. Rider, Always On My Mind, Fools Rush In, I Just Can't Help Believing, Unchained Melody, My Way, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Are You Lonesome Tonight, Hound Dog, Crying In The Chapel, You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin', That's All Right, In The Ghetto, One Night, Yesterday, White Christmas, I Really Don't Want To Know, Mystery Train and Wooden Heart was covers. And of course How Great Thou Art was done by many before him. (And just to make it clear, I'm not dissing Elvis. He was a great singer, and it was not uncommon to record and release covers of songs you liked back then.)
I don't think Elvis would understand what the problem is at all. In his time it was not a shame to sing covers - everyone did it and often with huge success (Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers is a cover, just as Feeling Good is not Nina Simone's original and Whitney didn't write I have nothing herself). This obsession with "originals" while simultaneously devaluing "covers" seems to be a stupid development of recent times. You notice that straight away when - like you - one calls Elvis a cover artist (which he actually was), the fans' shit storm immediately starts. The emphasis has simply shifted - to the detriment of the covers. You can see that clearly here - Angelina's version is simply great and stands on its own, but it is perceived as "just a cover". Elvis said it himself: “No. I never wrote a song myself. I probably could have if I sat down and tried hard enough, but I never had that urge.” But he not only chose and arranged his song material himself, but also, in a sense, “wrote” it himself through his interpretation. That's exactly what Angelina has done since she was eight - she owns a great voice but her vocal arrangements make the difference. Here is a quote from songwriter Doc Pomus back in the day: “I’m telling you as a songwriter, he was the best singer for my money that ever sang popular songs. He could sing every kind of song. He made so many mediocre songs sound great. […] The minute you heard him sing, you knew it was him, man. And usually that’s only true of guys that write their own material. […] When you wrote for Elvis Presley you knew you were going to get a performance plus. He was one of those few people that when he recorded a song of yours he would do it the way you envisioned it and then bring something else into it.” It looks like Angelina has internalized this - with the difference that she also sits down herself and not without results...
So many songs are indeed covers. A lot of them... so many will never know. I do not see an issue. If we enjoy the song...who cares ;). Now that I think of it...I did know he did at least some covers. I didn't know how many though. This became clear in the very comments. I still love his songs even though they are often covers. That doesn't take away from his unique voice and style. And that...is what makes Elvis the king ;)

I’ve been getting a lot of new pop ups relating to advertising… maybe I should actually read what it says as I tend to ignore these settings… RUclips has changed its policy over the last week or so. I shall check it to see if I can change it so you don’t get ads in the middle of a video.
What you will soon realize is that Angelina today at 17 Angelina is already the best Jazz singer on the Planet! IMO Soon to be one of the Best Vocalists of All Time. ♥👣👸🏻
Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. ♥👣👸🏻
There is video of Angelina recorded by her mother Sarah Astar singing a couple of lines of "I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston when she was 18 months old.
She will sing anything Acapella at any time and often does. ♥👣👸🏻
She is well known worldwide in the industry.
Love from the Land of Vikings ♥👣👸🏻

Vocal honey, yes. I use to say her voice is balm for the soul and heart ❤️
Sir, when she was six years old, she promised a homeless girl (in persian Farsi) in the Middle East to perform without shoes until every child on Earth has shoes. She keeps this promis to this day.
Be safe.

Now that is a very cool bit of knowledge. I like that :)

She making evry cover to her one..fin tribut to the king..same whit rapsidy..😊💟
You'll get plenty of comments on AJ's background -- and the reason she never wears shoes while performing. Great first reaction. Note that AJ is only 16 in this video. The pianist is Rob Christie, head of production at Republic Records, and winner of multiple Grammys.
Rob’s LinkedIn page identifies himself as the Republic Records Studio Director.
Your explanation means absolutely nothing to this reactor. He wants clicks. Use some judgment. This reactor said "approved". WTF?
ThNks for your input, I found it interesting 😊
She is one of a kind the g.o.a.t. she has 200 covers and originals you need to hear I put a spell on you 9 years old one of her best and she has a lot of them Wild bill
In the last few months Angelina has released 7 original songs, an EP titled "Old Enough" with 6 songs & a new single called Our Time. Only 2 come with a music video, Love Don't Let Me Go & Now I'm the Fool, the first 2 tracks on her EP. All others are audio only, but all 7 are winners & worthy of a reaction to bring you up to date with Angelina today.
Elvis’ version of Suspicion Minds was a cover of Mark James’ original song.
Really? I never knew that! I need to look that up as well…
You should really read up on the story about why Angelina sings without shoes. The reson is both heartwarming and beautiful
Many people have mentioned it and I absolutely love the story :)
She sounds like Angelina Jordan!
Well, that much was obvious I guess :p
😃 She steals hearts like it's easy. 😊 God what a beautiful voice and mega talent.
A voice and vocal that just mesmerizes and captures the listener! This will become a classic cover of this song!
❤
I think in this version, the lyrics fits the song, or the other way around 🤣 Either way, its a great version of the song ❤️ She is incredible 👍
💕💕💕
AJ is known as the Viking princess playing a Hagstrom Viking guitar...
Seems like a natural for you.😊
Viking approved :P
*Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website.
Thanks for the reaction to our angel Angelina..she’s simply the best..👍👏
Angelina is a Vocal Goddess and she is always amazing and mesmerizing. I loved your reaction to this song. What a beautiful tribute to the King.
Hair style and clothing matched beautifully as well :)
My thoughts on this,
Power & Pure Velvet Perfection!
Thanks🎉
Thank you for reaction. You will love her mashups covers. #AngelinaJordanElvisnashups
Great reaction.👍🏼🎼🤗
Usually I lose patience with extra slow songs, but not this time. She was stunning. Had me hanging on every note, every word. Very captivating.

Perfekte Soul Stimme. Und super das sie als Intro Queen genommen hat.
But anyway, perhaps better to leave out detailed information on private matters.
...oh - and I know, even Angelina wrote it is an Elvis-Cover - but in fact Elvis did also a cover of this song: Originary it is from Mark James (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspicious_Minds) ;-)

I really hope that you watch more AJ!
@@poolhallshark You're right Shark, she never did Fever. However, her original 7th Heaven song starts with the same flavor of Fever IMHO. 😉
@@claudest-gelais8456 Good point 🙂
Hmm, i thought i saw a recommendation for it in one of the comments but I could be wrong...

The Hagstrom Red Guitar used in this video is a modern up to date copy of the one Elvis used in 1968, and belongs to Rob Christie, AJ’s A&R rep from Republic Records/Universal Music Group.
The Hagstrom Red Guitar belonged to musician Al Casey, a member of Elvis’ backing band during the special in 1968. According to an accompanying letter from Casey, he was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they "thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set."
Elvis Presley’s 1942 Martin D-18 acoustic guitar may have recently sold for $1.32 million, but fear not - another of the King’s axes, this one his cherry-red Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, famous for its use in the legendary '68 Comeback Special, is hitting the block.
The semi hollow instrument is a highlight of Kruse GWS Auctions’ Artifacts of Hollywood & Music auction, which begins on March 27. It's being offered with a starting bid of $250,000.
By Matt Owen published March 31, 2021 Now, it has been confirmed that the legendary semi-hollow has been sold for a whopping $625,000, with the proud new owner of the lot managing to outbid six other plucky bidders to get their hands on the prized piece of music memorabilia.
The ‘68 Comeback Special marked Elvis' return to live performance after seven years spent focused on acting in Hollywood films. The televised concert, which launched Presley's return to live touring, featured him playing the Hagstrom for the opening segment as well as during one of the live "stand-up" segments.
200… she has been busy! I wasn’t expecting that at all. I just scrolled on her page until I spotted this one. My choice was made instantly…

My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust. © Larry D. Pifer

"Suspicious Minds" is a 1968 song written and first recorded by the American songwriter Mark James. After this recording failed commercially, it was recorded by Elvis Presley with the producer Chips Moman. Presley's version reached No.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it was his last hit record.
Consider this; there are lots of performers that impersonate Elvis, and some can sound just like him. Have you ever experienced someone that sounds like Angelina Jordan, let me be the first to answer that question, the answer in no. That is because AJ is one of a kind, and on a level that supersedes all others. If you question what I have just stated just listen to the professional voice teachers after experiencing AJ. They all admit that they are speechless because they have never heard anyone like AJ.
The children are AJ two little cousins, they are the daughters of her uncle Mike, he is her manager, and the oldest girl is her younger sister, Juliette.
This is my 126th time experiencing this video, and each and every time it gets better. We must give credit to the support team behind this phenom. There is no one on earth that can match the talent of this STORYTELLER. AJ deconstructs a song then reconstruct it to make each individual hearing it feel it was written for them, a love letter to their comfort zone.
Melrose Gallery is the same antique store in Hollywood that she used for My Funny Valentine
AJ plays guitar, keyboard/piano, violin and flute. Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book.
No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can.
At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been.
What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs. © Larry D. Pifer

Nicely done Viking.... have seen many of your other reactions to bands and such and nice to see you here with Angelina, my absolute favorite Female vocalist.

At 9?! Damn....
9 years and 2 months to be precise!🤣

Her and Elvis go waaay back. She has covered Elvis many times many songs. BUT definitely uncovered this one!
I absolutely love this song!! As you said, so warm and emotional. I love Angelina's voice and have never tired of it. I wait with baited breath for the each new song to come out. She never disappoints! ❤
she is one of a kind
He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."
Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat".
In the next realm, I envision Freddie, elbowing Elvis and saying "I told you she could, darling!"
She was barefoot while she was standing, singing. On the couch, she was not singing and was wearing Blue Suede Shoes!❤😊👏👏👏
Thanks for the awesome reaction! You have a new sub. And I'm from Minnesota, USA....Viking country! SKOL!🏈😅❤
First I must say, I absolutely adore Angelina! I have followed her since
her Norway’s got talent! She always puts her own spin on covers, which
I like to think of as her “Uncovers.” She is magical in re-creating things.
Her version of “Suspicious Minds” is one of my favorites! She was inspired
by Billie Holiday, Whitney Houston, Dinah Washington, Amy Winehouse, and
Norah Jones. Some may disagree with me here, but I'm sorry, I can hear a bit
of Cher in there at times.....listen for it. Angelina has breadth and depth that
are amazing! She vows to never wear shoes on stage again until all the little
boys and girls in the world have shoes. Great story from her own experience
about why you always see her barefoot on stage. Angelina has such a soft
heart and very deep emotions that she can't hide....just another part of her
beauty!
The remaining members of QUEEN also approved, by giving her full rights to her version of Bohemian Rhapsody
Check out Angelina Jordan version of I put a spell on you
9 years old
The more you watch Angelina the more you realise you cannot pigeonhole her.
Rob Christie 3x Grammy pianist!

Why does Angelina sing barefoot?

You said that she looked so small for such a big voice....with them 6 inch heels and her hair piled up 8 inches on top of her head, she's over 7 foot tall hehe
By the way, she not tiny, she's 6'1" here, with her hair prolly 7' lol
You have to appreciate the Norwegian superstar getting reactions from the Viking! Check out her really early work on Norway’s got talent. Bang Bang was my favorite of the four songs she performed on that show back in 2014.
Hi Viking, You should react to anglinas cover of You Say Live from her 2021 online chrismas concert. She was only 15. Its beautiful. Better than the original IMO. Then after that my all time favorite of hers at any age, Million years ago at age 12. It shows her highs lows and just quality of her voice. The G.O.A.T !
She does etta James Whitney Elvis Billie holiday gueen Adele and dozens of others wild bill
🤩🤩🤩
Hey! Just noticed that Angelina does that same “jaw-brato” thing that Dan Vasc does!
She sounds like Angelina.
🥰
But Angelina sang it the way it was meant to be!!!😊
Lol...only if tiny means over 6 feet tall.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6
For those that do not know.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. 'Between Two Hearts
Why Angelina sings barefoot interview. Reads from her diary. ruclips.net/video/-cCLDY0CSZ8/видео.html ♥👣👸🏻🎷
And she WILL take over 👍👍
@@poolhallshark I hear you brother and I can't wait !!!!
Well, as far as I remember the Elvis version of this song is a cover too, so clearly he would have no reason to disapprove.
Also: You ain't seen nothing yet until you have seen her version of I Put A Spell On You as a 9 year old: ruclips.net/video/nwFloCPXzCs/видео.html
did sub.....great job......
Fin reaktion, hirdman. You described what I felt about this performance very well. How about her singing "I put a spell on you". At 9 y.o, she does it better than Screaming J. Hawkings... Take care and greetings from Jonas Gothenburg Sweden.
She started singing at one and a half years old and she started with jazz,, she's from Norway,, English is not her native language,, you should watch ( wrapped in a warm blanket ) They tell a short story about her life up to 2013, They show her singing at 1 and a 1/2 I talk about why she doesn't wear shoes about her writing a book she also plays 4 musical instruments,, She has some of her own songs,, She won Norway got talent age 7,,, She was on America got talent age 13,, She is now 17 ,, She started singing Jazz when she was young,, She loved Billy holiday many others,, She was 9 years old when she sang,, I put a spell on you,,, By screaming j Hawkins,, She has sang Whitney Houston songs,, Michael Jackson songs,, Adele , , Hundreds of different songs,, She wrote a song about her grandfather who died,, You should start with her younger years first,, Because she sings a lot of covers now she sings more originals,, I also like her song, I'd rather go blind cover,, There's a lot of us who love her they all send you lots of comments they have lots of information,, Have fun enjoy,,,
I think most of Elvis's famous songs were covers of other artists including this one, so I would hope he would be ok with covers.
A number of years ago she gave her shoes to a child who had no shoes, hence barefoot performances.
A good bit of history I only knew bits of. So thank you very much for teaching me :)
He was one of those few people that when he recorded a song of yours he would do it the way you envisioned it and then bring something else into it.”
It looks like Angelina has internalized this - with the difference that she also sits down herself and not without results...

Why Angelina always performs barefoot
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. LOL Not tiny, slender and about 6' tall. Almost 6' by 13yo!
Annoying to get adverts interrupting.
I’ve been getting a lot of new pop ups relating to advertising… maybe I should actually read what it says as I tend to ignore these settings… RUclips has changed its policy over the last week or so. I shall check it to see if I can change it so you don’t get ads in the middle of a video.
