They have formed partnerships in recent years. It one of the biggest sources of our troubles. Glen Beck included this in a recent video that is a fantastic overview of the structure of power.
Someone today posted that the cost to start a project in New York, 40% was regulation. Cost of grading, installation of water, sewer, & power. Before any houses are started, 40% will grease a lot of palms.
@truthseeker4280 who said vote republican? Vote for the person not the party. Party lines have pushed us to far from each other. If you are afraid that if you don't pick a side that you will not be represented, then you've already lost. The parties must fear the voters.
Leaving CA this month. Driven out by crime, taxes, regulations, policies taking away parental right & control and giving them to school boards/admins, doctors, therapists, and courts. If you have children you'd be a fool to stay.
Please don't come to my state and then Vote democrat and vote for the same policies that turned California into a dumpster fire ... this is already happening, we don't need more crazy Californians here. ROFL jkjk.
I work for insurance. Bodyshop/dealer labor rates have risen, part prices have increased, paint materials have increased, the newer cars are starting to get more 1 time use parts, there also also tons of sensors/cameras/modules in these new cars that a simple collison can easily double replacing those parts and then you need to pay to calibrate all of those damaged electronics.
Printing endless dollars means prices rise immediately, while income rises later, incurring debt that must be "financed" over time, faster than wages have ever risen. I once lived well while buying motorcycles and cars, financed by multiple jobs simultaneously, at least I loved the work. I bought worn-out machinery and tools and built a machine shop which paid the difference. The tools I own were made at the time we still manufactured as a country.
My family thinks about leaving... never been to Japan. Is it easy to move and set up everything, find a job and not be from there and not speak the langauage?
@@glenlackey2 The short answer to your question is, "No." You have to have a work visa (which means hired beforehand, since you have to be sponsored), you can't own any property, and outside of tourist areas, being able to communicate with the Japanese people is difficult. Honestly, if you want to move out of the country, I'd pick a place closer to home--especially if you can speak Spanish already. If not, try Belize instead.
You can definitely own property and for little to no money you can buy an akiya. You can create an llc to get a bank started by a local rep. There are multiple visas you can get for long stays but you’d have to eventually come back to the states for a few months for it to reset for you to get again.
You will never be Japanese and still always an outsider. Asian countries are very racist because of their culture. Toxic work culture and natural disasters is another issue.
Just get a bond... That is all the insurance company is doing, bonding you... However, most people can't afford a 30 or 60k bond to drive, hence the insurance company... Some states just require a surety bond or a cash deposit... California: Allows for a $35,000 surety bond or cash deposit with the DMV.

Modt of the people I know are low information democrats who shed tears that Prez Trump might get elected. And they are unaware of the insurance armageddon coming because of eliminating police and democrat inflation.
I JUST moved out of California last month. Sold my house for twice of what I owed, paid cash for the house i'm in now and have 10 years of money to pay the bills I have and still have money coming in and I RETIRED.
It's called "The Doom Loop". Make the conditions so awful that all dissenters leave, making the population more concentrated with people who support the leadership. For every Californian who leaves, they're replaced with 10 illegals pumped into the state.
They'll come repossess our cars! Even if they've already been paid for! Sanctuary bullshiiite! It's a sanctuary for effing criminals and these illegal criminals only. The rest can perish however they don't effing care about anyone here.
People in California don’t know what they don’t know! I’ve had business there - and people there THINK what’s happening there is happening everywhere! They’re literally economically ignorant!
Easy to be that way when majority of people who still live there have been for over 30-40+ years. I’d be economically ignorant too if out of nowhere my aunt dies and I’m a millionaire for having a condo passed down lol.

Why? It's not like Republicans are doing anything to help either. Ron DeSanitis and the Republicans are in charge of Florida. Florida has the same insurance problems as California.
I was raised in the Midwest and I’ve now lived in California for 45 years. I’m grateful that I grew up and was educated in the Midwest because most Californians I talk to are simply clueless when it comes their own best interests. It’s mind boggling.
@@mikep2262you sue. I’m uninsured 6 months now. They raised my rates to 600$ a month (LIABILITY, not even full coverage!) on a 10,000 Acura. That used to be rent on a 1 bedroom a few years ago. I’m 21 and I’m not gonna pay that, sorry. If I’m dumb enough to cause an accident I’d fully expect to get sued. And vice versa. WTH are we doing allowing ourselves to be scammed like this. That is their plan to make everything too expensive so Americans can depend on the Government! Guess who owns the Insurance companies? Guess who owns all the farm lands and food chain? These are evil people!
As a Californian I can attest to the fact that my homeowners insurance, after over 20 years of continued insurance with them and zero claims, was cancelled a few years ago. The only option was the California Fair Plan and it's expensive. We just received our renewal policy- it went up 30 percent in one year.
Pathetic. You’re a complete hypocrite to attest anything. As a Californian, let alone a United States citizen, y’all are responsible for this bullshit.
I met an older couple from Cali this weekend and we talked Cali economics. The woman immediately said she hated Trump even though we were talking about Cali. I told her about the economics and the woman just said she wanted universal healthcare and universal education, which are foolhardy endeavors. It made me realize that some people are idiots, and some people just want things handed to them because they suck at life. My opinion is that a lot of Californians are just liberals who want the government to do everything for them. These are the types to be smart enough to see what's wrong but keep voting the same way. I say we jettison CA and leave them out of the union.

I’m a plumber in CA. Any customer that has a leak needs to repipe the entire home in order for their home owners insurance to THINK about keeping them. Wild!
I left California when I was 41 and have lived in Idaho almost 30 years. I have budgeted my finances to account for lower wages and have enjoyed my residence here. I miss the good things I experienced there but the taxes, fees and cost of living in California have become so prohibitive I’m staying put.
I've had TheHartford insurance in AZ almost a year ago. They wanted me to pay 50% more upon renewal. I switched to another company. They are begging me now to return back sending their paper offers on a daily basis, never interrupted. If you count the number of envelopes, it will cover a significant part of what they wanted to overcharge me. So stupid!
I got a quote from Hartford, having never used them. They were more than double what the company I went with quoted me for homeowner's insurance. Beware seniors, this is the company that AARP uses to SCREW their members over.
Oregonian here, I will NEVER get insurance from Hartford. In 2007 as part of a community outreach program to connect Seniors & kids, I met several seniors who got auto insurance from 'The Hartford' via AARP that were paying 81 to 150 dollars a month for Liability only coverage - One of the ladies in the program was shocked that I was only pay 75 a month for full coverage & decided to meet with the agent I used, he got her the same coverage for 35 bucks a month, after that she put the word out & almost all of the seniors in the group switched to other companies.
I was a first time homebuyer in California and had to sell in late 2021 because we couldn’t afford it anymore. Let me give you another example of how fair Cal”Fair” is... When we bought our home insurance was $1900/year, full coverage (including wildfire). For several years it increased by about 15% each year, which was bad enough. However in 2019 when the state massively overly regulated insurance, our insurance company would no longer cover wildfire. So we were FORCED to use Cal Fair. JUST for wildfire insurance from Cal Fair, OUR cost was over $6,000/year paid out of our pocket. This was in addition to our primary coverage at about $3000/year. In five years our home insurance went from $1900/year, to $10,000/year all because of Cal “Fair”. Combine that with massively increasing costs of goods and services in the state, all the covid F-ups, lockdowns, and an economy purged in chaos... I went from attaining my dream to facing a complete nightmare which I am still working to recover from.
That is an awful picture. But the good news is you got out, and hopefully, where you moved is already a better life for your family. That is not the American dream; that's a tragedy. Good luck!
It is nice to see that someone in Canada has a spine. He calls it out. Good for him. Hopefully, there are a lot more people who are as smart and clearly see what's what.
The jump isn’t due to “increasing claims, storm damages, costly repairs” and everything else these guys talked about. The jump in auto insurance is because they are raising the minimum liability limits substantially which means carriers and reinsurers are going to have to pay out way more for “injuries” and other damages. You’re going to see a massive increase in billboard injury attorneys across CA.
This has already happened in trucking. They have doubled minimum liability amount. Repairs have gone up not 30 percent but more like 60 to 70 percent. Ask me why everything on the shelf costs more
As an insurance agent, it is insane how many carriers have stopped writing in Cali. The assigned risk pools are supposed to be the insurance of last resort, but Cali has made it so even the average person ends up in the pool. I’m an insurance agent. More and more insurance companies are going to Excess and Surplus Lines. By using E&S Insurance, companies can bypass the California Insurance Commission. California home/auto insurance is very challenging. If State Farm exits CA it’s game over for insurance in the State, in my opinion!
@@GhostDog36556 B/C State Farm is the largest insurer in the entire country. Where they go, the industry follows. So State Farm leaves, the typical response would be for the competitors (Farmers, Allstate, Progressive, Geico, etc.) to try and capture those customers. Problem is, even the nation's other big insurers don't have the capacity (surplus as we call it) to take on all those customers.

Economic studies have shown/proven that an average of .53 cents of every dollar of price increase is pure corporate profit padding aka greed aka as Kroger's CEO admitted 'Price Gouging', which is not illegal under federal law. It will end when congress gets off their arse and passes a bill to make price gouging illegal. My family built a home about 10 minutes outside of town, permits took 18 months...18 months for a single family residence. At the end of it all, we applied for homeowners insurance we were required to get fire insurance as well... We were denied by every provider. After emails to city officials, insurance carriers, etc we were directed to the FAIR act. They quoted us 7000/year for fire insurance...more than our property tax...We are stuck because the bank requires it but we can't afford it. we even submitted paperwork for all the fire upgrades in our home which were required by law...they promised to lower our premium after reviewing it all....Our premium went UP. Also power rates have more than doubled since we started construction. After forcing us to get solar, we now still have a power bill HIGHER than before we moved from our last home with no solar, but have thousands less dollars to pay for it. PGE has a power monopoly soooo no other options. THIS SHIT IS CRIMINAL. But thank God when Kamala gets in office she will straighten out this mess! lol

8 million illegals driving around with no insurance in cali also--btw every 10% raise in insurance rates causes a %% in legal folks who quit paying for it--so in a few months 25% more folks that were legal wont pay for it.

I work for an insurance company in CA and we are pretty much the only game in town at the moment. Every other call we get is about why rates went up. It breaks my heart.
Here where I live in California almost all of my favorite mom and pop restaurants have closed. Some locations have reopened for a short time with new owners but eventually have closed again. I got laid off from my good STEM job April 2023. The only job I could find was Temp which means you have zero health benefits, vacation, sick time etc. I had to accept wages I haven't made since 2004. I am highly skilled with excellent references. There is a hidden recession going on.

It’s happening in CT too.. a Democrat state. My coworker had to file a claim for his roof. The max claim allowed was 20k. Total cost was 49k. They approved and paid for the claim and immediately cancelled his insurance right after. Now, the cheapest quote he got was 14k/year increasing his total mortgage from 1800 to 3100/mo. During the same week, my grandparents in laws insurance is being cancelled because the repair they needed for their home “wasn’t don’t up to spec”. Absolutely insane and totally not a coincidence… 🙄

I work as an underwriter for a carrier that was planning to go into CA, but have since backed out. On top of the Fair act, it's the fact that California has a lot of stupid tertiary policies that cause the increase including environmental policies and crime prosecutions. When Smash and grabs are allowed with no deterrent, Theft has gone through the roof not to mention the constant level of repairs. And everyone but environmental activists seem to understand that the lack of underbrush clearing is increasing Fire severity (one of the reasons we ask people to trim their yards and trees)
I’m affected by a huge increase in monthly payments due to being forced onto the California Fair Plan. I’ve lost neighbors who leave because of this. I love where I live and my community but my future is uncertain and my community is being torn apart due to this insurance issue and there is nothing being done. Thousands are in the same position as me.
I work for State Farm, in the Subrogation department, and I'm going to thoroughly explain why auto insurance in California is so expensive. 1) California has many uninsured drivers 2) California's body shop hourly rates are the highest in the US, thus making the repairs more expensive. 3) Auto accidents in California are higher than most states, more accidents, means more repairs, which means higher premiums 4) California is near the top in auto thefts (Comprehensive claims) 5) California has a Pure Comparative Liability Negligence Standard. This means, an insurance company is allowed to recover up to 100% of their damages, from the at fault parties insurance company. For example, let's say Karen runs a red light and hits Bobby. But Bobby admits to being distracted and not seeing Karen, as Karen ran the red light. Karen's insurance company could file Subrogation against Bobby's insurance to collect up to 100% of their repairs, and vice versa for Bobby's insurance. Let's say those insurance companies disagree on who's at fault and they go to Arbitration. Let's say the Arbitraror places 90% fault on Karen and 10% fault on Bobby, well Bobby's insurance pays 10% of Karens property damages and Karen's insurance pays 90% of Bobby's property damages! Most states are Not Greater Than States, which means if you're 51% or more at fault, then you can't recover anything from the other driver's insurance company. Some states bar recovery at 1%, which is awesome haha. So in California, insurance companies pay out more, because the bar is so low to prove negligence. 6) the cost of doing business is extremely high in California. Body parts, labor rates, installation, tows, storage costs, etc all costs more in good ole California. Hope this helps.

Auto insurance prices are based on your credit score. If your score is bad, do what you can to improve it. After you get credit score stable, get insurance quotes from 3-4 reputable companies. Other factors include your age, married or single, college student etc. ask your agent what can you do to lower costs. So I lived in Bahrain when I was in the Navy. Their insurance was simple. You paid like $300 a year for insurance and there was a sticker on your car windshield that was a color for that year. When you get in an accident, your insurance only covers your car.
Those stats are definitely skewed because of the amount of illegal immigrants getting insurance after getting their license this year, with no driving experience and most likely are charged as much as 18 year olds. I live in Massachusetts and 128.000 immigrants got driver's licenses this year, California is probably 5x that. Massachusetts also controls the car insurance and it cost 4x more than people in New Hampshire who don't restrict certain insurance. I'm against both crutches on insurance in our states but I'm surprised nobody mentioned that. Also soon all the illegals buying houses with zero down and $150k government money. So soon your home insurance will go through the roof.
And In NJ the rates from State Farm, just rose 20%.....and We haven't had anything, speeding tickets, accidents or even anything wrong go on with our home, for the 20 years we've been with them.....
Your first mistake is looking at this situation or any situation in California as blind unintentional and accidental. It absolutely is intentional. The government wants to get rid of private insurance agencies so that it can come in and save the day by offering subsidized government insurance at a very high premium! How else is the state going to pay for its deficit!
New Jersey did this too!!! Horrible. Car insurance monthly is higher than a monthly car payment. Now these insurance do not have to have you on as a customer. If my car transmission is out for more than a month I have to keep it on insurance even though its sitting on my driveway. Ridiculous.
I have never gotten a ticket in my life and drive under 10,000 miles a year. No accidents nothing. I'm paying more than I have ever paid in my life. Even my mom who probably hasn't even put 10,000 miles on her car in several years is paying more than ever.
@@zariaeda007 Yep! It's going to go up in every state! I moved from NC to FL last year and when I renewed my policy with USAA, my 6 month premium for two cars went from $1,300 to $3,600 with zero accidents or infractions! My monthly payment went from $220 to $600...
I live in San Diego and am planning on leaving next year. I am sure that auto insurance is going up due to all the non-insured drivers here. The home insurance fiasco is BS. CA put a cap on what insurance companies can charge, but made it to where insurers left and now you have to use the State Home Insurance program which charges more than what you were paying (so the cost increase to homeowners shouldn't matter) and add to that the program is being sued because they aren't paying out. I don't blame insurance companies for leaving, with all the crime and CA not doing anything to lessen the fire damage because of it's eco policies it's not even about them making a profit, they are probably paying out more then what they are getting. It's bad here and the people that don't agree with that are either well off or benefiting from govt assistance.

And insurance companies are being forced to have enough money to cover the policies cause people have gotten screwed by insurance companies

California home/auto insurance is very challenging. If State Farm exits CA it’s game over for insurance in the State, in my opinion!
Why
@@GhostDog36556 B/C State Farm is the largest insurer in the entire country. Where they go, the industry follows. So State Farm leaves, the typical response would be for the competitors (Farmers, Allstate, Progressive, Geico, etc.) to try and capture those customers. Problem is, even the nation's other big insurers don't have the capacity (surplus as we call it) to take on all those customers.
Why is CA insurance challenging?
bro in English
Oil companies need to pull out of California, the state doesn’t want them and they will face a death of 1,000 regulation and lawsuits. Shut down the wells, close and dismantling the refineries, either transfer or lay off workforce. California wants to quit fossil fuels cold turkey, Harris can help her😊
AND the people in CA just Vote Blue No Matter Who, it is ASTOUNDING!
They're the same anti-racists that called Larry Elder, a black man, "the black face of white supremacy". We gave them a great candidate as an alternate during a recall but it their response was essentially "no not that black man"
Same in NYC and Chicago
But do they really? Or is it plausible, so easily fraudulent? At this point, I have to give my fellow members of society the benefit of the doubt, and say the later. Nobody's that stupid to keep voting for this.
False. Massive election fraud in California for at least 20-30 years now.

The jump isn’t due to “increasing claims, storm damages, costly repairs” and everything else these guys talked about. You’re going to see a massive increase in billboard injury attorneys across CA.

I work as an underwriter for a carrier that was planning to go into CA, but have since backed out. On top of the Fair act, it's the fact that California has a lot of stupid tertiary policies that cause the increase including environmental policies and crime prosecutions. And everyone but environmental activists seem to understand that the lack of underbrush clearing is increasing Fire severity (one of the reasons we ask people to trim their yards and trees)

I love where I live and my community but my future is uncertain and my community is being torn apart due to this insurance issue and there is nothing being done. Thousands are in the same position as me.
I work for State Farm, in the Subrogation department, and I'm going to thoroughly explain why auto insurance in California is so expensive.
1) California has many uninsured drivers
2) California's body shop hourly rates are the highest in the US, thus making the repairs more expensive.
3) Auto accidents in California are higher than most states, more accidents, means more repairs, which means higher premiums
4) California is near the top in auto thefts (Comprehensive claims)
5) California has a Pure Comparative Liability Negligence Standard.
Thanks.
yep...pretty much explains it.
So basically mostly due to democrat policies

Here we go again.
California will need a Federal bail out like NYC.
Ahh the point of the story-to you average Mass-hole:
STAY OUT OF NEW HAMPSHIRE!!!! 😡
Oh, waay more than 5x's.
And In NJ the rates from State Farm, just rose 20%.....and We haven't had anything, speeding tickets, accidents or even anything wrong go on with our home, for the 20 years we've been with them.....
My rate was $1300 for 6 months. Now it’s $2600 months in Georgia. My last insurance dropped me because I used 2 road service this year.
Aka they want us to be dependent like dogs. 🐶
I was with Esurance (Allstate) for 12 years, they pulled out of Cali a couple months ago, I had to switch to another company.
New Jersey did this too!!! Horrible. Car insurance monthly is higher than a monthly car payment. Now these insurance do not have to have you on as a customer. If my car transmission is out for more than a month I have to keep it on insurance even though its sitting on my driveway. Ridiculous.
Exact same thing is happening in Minnesota we are next !
Another Commie State
And you can thank the commie Timpon Walz.
Similar thing is happening in Florida with homeowners insurance. People are being priced out of the market.
Please don't try to change a red state into blue.
@@glfxfa5452 you shouldn't assume that everyone that lives in CA is a liberal because we are not.
non-insured drivers and all the break ins, windows smashed, store looted we all have to pay for their MESS.
Something has to be done . Few of my friends in Arizona , they no longer carry any insurance . Food on the table is priority
