As someone with Mercury in Aquarius, this definitely resonated with me. Oftentimes, I am very staunch about my opinions, or super defensive of an innovative idea, even if it treads on the sensitivities of other people. I have to check myself sometimes, because I will CONSCIOUSLY think to myself that I don't care who gets offended by what I think. That's fixed energy for you. But I'm also the type who objectively considers the overall moral implications of an issue before I vocalize my ideas.

Hi I appreciate your video as I am a Pisces w/Mercury in Aquarius. Though I am not much on the technical side of Aquarius I am definitely freedom oriented for all and as they say I march to my own drummer. And though a fixed sign which can make one stubborn, I think there is great loyalty and stability inherent in Aquarius. I am just starting to get acquainted with this placement. It literally feels more against my certain life goals and what is actually right. Meaning I can’t take what certain people into account because it goes against my pursuits, but denying their truth goes against a core value of mine. Gotta change the value or just outperform their bullshit. Have any other resources for this?
Very well observed and said. My Mercury is in Aquarius, but because it is squaring my Scorpio Moon/Mars conjunction in the 4th house, I am not always able to exclude my personal judgement and be completely objective. Sometimes I can, but not always. :) Thank you.
Crazy... not too long ago, I knew an altruistic Aquarius; almost to the point of being stifling and overly self righteous. As a loud mouthed Gemini, I seemed to upset this person too easily. Funny thing is, I knew how this interaction would go, and eventually crumble. Sadly, we can be so much alike, and faithful in the pursuit of interesting bits of knowledge- but very different in how we internalize dissenting opinions. Maybe that was just in my case, or three🙄

I’m looking for resources that analyze both signs for this placement and explains why ♍️ trumps ♒️ for this placement. I understand why Mercury fairs better in Virgo ♍️ than ♊️ and have never heard anything different. However, for exhalation, there seems to be two camps Traditional vs Modern which comes as no surprise as Virgo and Aquarius represent them respectively. Like I said, I’ve heard the modern take on it but have yet to hear the traditionalist position.

Perhaps the modern astrologers are making a connection between mercury and Uranus. As you probably know, Uranus is the higher or pure octave of Aquarius? If that is the case it would only work in post-Uranus-discovery astrology era. I personally don’t see Mercury as the ruler of Aquarius. It doesn’t fit in my view.
Math is a "system", so yes, but all systems of knowledge with hard and fast rules are something Aquarius tends to be comfortable with. Saturn is fond of order and Saturn is its ancient ruler (and its co-ruler now).

I've never heard of Mercury as ruler of Aquarius. Mercury is ruler of Virgo in earth and Gemini in air.
