Bouncing back from their Game 1 loss, the Lakers jumped out to an 18-point halftime lead and were never seriously threatened after that, cruising to a seven-point win to even the series at one game apiece.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar responded to criticism of his Game 1 performance by scoring 30 points, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing out eight assists, flirting with a triple-double. Magic Johnson had 14 points and 13 assists for the Lakers, who also got 22 points off the bench from Michael Cooper. Larry Bird scored 12 of his 30 points in the third quarter in an attempt to spark a Celtics comeback. No other Celtics player reached the 20-point mark.

An absolutely inexcusable loss for the Celtics in Game 2. This series was decided in this game. Had Boston took it serious, and won, they win the series in 6.
That's kind of lame comment on your part Susan. I mean how do you know the Celtics didn't take it seriously. So they definitely were stoked to lose this series and were partying afterwardsm

Larry Bird himself, said they didn't take this game seriously, after crushing the inferior Lakers 148-114, in Game 1. Something he didn't let happen in Game 2, in 1986. Too bad it wasn't those same Lakers that year, but they choked like rabid dogs against Houston.
The only reason the Celtics were lucky enough to win the 84 finals series is because the refs took a bribe from the mob in Boston and ruled in game 2 against the Lakers on a bad call otherwise the Lakers would of won all 3 of them
