Derby fan here. When Pride Park was being built it was impressed on the architect that the atmosphere from the old Baseball Ground had to be designed in. I know that sounds daft but the need to create an intimate feel for the fans was vital. You touched on it with the comment about how close you felt to the pitch, at the old BBG you felt ON the pitch! As for the support we have always been like that, whether the ground is packed of not, we are vocal, we are engaged and will support the team fully. Obviously, at the moment this is amplified given the situation we find ourselves in, very worrying times and a very real fear we may not have a team to support next season.
I'm a forest fan. I have to say Derby County is the best supported team in the Midlands by far. They have a fantastic stadium best fan base and are a much better team than we will ever be. All my red dog mates are so jealous of the super rams. And I'm secretly starting to follow the super rams as I'm so bored of the crappie football the red dogs play and our fickle fans.
i would have to say that is the best, most honest, sensible and factual statement, words in general i have ever heard from a forest fan. you sure your really a forest fan? if so then respect too you for the nice words. i know or have met many forest fans, thought i had probably met all 300 of you, then when you made it to the promise land hundreds more came crawling out from under some rocks somewhere trying to tell me that they where better supported than derby. anyway i had a look at the average attendances and forests had gone up to around the same 27 odd thousand as derby were averaging. only real difference being forest in prem and derby in league 1. so i looked at forests average in promotion winning league 1 season and the stats are there in black and white showing average attendance well in access of 27,000 last season in league 1 for derbys loyal fans and forest loosing thousands of fans every time they drop down a tier. the vlogs from the last game of our relegation season from the championship away at blackpool shows any doubters everything you need to know about our fans, jumping around and singing all through the game and getting huge praise from the blackpool vloggers. well worth a watch
Excellent Away day overall despite the 12pm Sunday Kick Off. Spoons Breakfast and a Pint in the City centre at 10am not the usual match day fare. Credit to Derby fans - their second half support was superb, something all Home fans could learn from.
Sounds like they stayed at Jurys inn and walked along the riverside, the difficulty would be that most bar's along that walk will not allow away fans, they are kind of herded (no pun intended) to the pubs at Pride Park like The Harvester so it's easier to police, Being an early Sunday kick off these chaps avoided all that
Great away day but there were a few reprobates hanging outside my hotel in the morning. Was also banking on the Gregs being open (but surprisingly it was closed). Derby fans said they's see us next year (of course, 12 March, unless it's moved for Sky again).
Thanks for some great feedback but can’t believe we didn’t get a “YesLads” rating because of the KO time😩 Nevertheless, Bournemouth fans are a really lovely lot and seem genuinely, down to earth supporters. We all hope you reach the Prem again! Good luck except for March 12th😄😄😄🐏
Have to be dedicated just like Plymouth fans. A long trek to most other grounds around the country. Derby to Bournemouth is about a 4 hour trip even on the train!
like your ratings and the video in general, im a derby fan, only thing i would say is i think its a bit unfair giving a low rating due to kick off times, this is due to sky and out of the clubs control. think you could score it based on your experience and carrying that through to your idea of what it would be like on a proper 3pm kick off and basing every clubs score on standard kick off times. maybe even use some information from past recent reviews to compliment your scores so every ground gets a fair rating and not lose points due to sky tv messing up traditional kick off times.
Fuck me good job it wasnt the old baseball ground, brilliant old atmospheric ground but the surrounding area was shite.....i can say this because i was born on yates street around the corner and spent a lot of time watchin the mighty rams over 3 decades.
Have we been generous or meagre with some of our ratings for the Derby County away day experience? Let us know in the comments!

As a fellow Rams fan would have say that is a funnier comment than anything Jimmy Carr has ever come up with.😃😃😃😃

@@JamesLauro-m3vso so true…Rams fans don’t run wen we’re losing…yes agreed we have a moan…but we stick with our team no matter what league we’re in
Great video, nice to have a few decent things said about our football club. Hope you guys do it. All the best 🐏

As a Derby fan I do like to see Bournemouth do well. Mainly because my uncle played for them in the 80s. Looking forward to Bournemouth away. 🐏
Next time you come to Derby there's a few decent pubs near the train station which you should try.
