Chet I was putting in a pivot water and electric line 6ft deep and I had the trench collapse on me, my boss and coworker was luckily in there and able to dig me out from the stomach down, I wasn’t able to walk normal for months and had contusions, always be safe out there
As per Trench safety? I enjoy your videos, watch almost all of them. That was difficult to watch you dig a vertical trench, and have your crew in that hole. Years ago I had to dig a man out after a trench collapse on a tile job, and rush him to the hospital. Dougo, It WILL happen. Lay those walls back, flare your trenches. Yes, it costs money to do it, but an extra $1000 is cheap compared to hospital bills or, God Forbid, A funeral. Excellent video again, folks.
Chet, I love the companionship between you and Dougo. You can tell he respects your opinion. The new technology is great and love how you explain how it works. Great
Chet, The yellow controller box, if you flip the mount loop on the box to the top and fasten it under the other switch box I think it would fit well with the cables at the lowest point.
You can be safe every day. You only get to die once. The thing about dying in a trench is you rarely die alone.... Some times money spent is worth the safety. If you ever get to see a trench collapse and see how fast it happens you will never put yourself in that position again.
How many brothers do you have working for you Chet. I watch all of your videos and love them all. I'm watching from West Virginia. God bless you guys and wish I was working for you. Love watching all the big equipment working in the field.
All I can say is I enjoy all the videos. And I've worked in municipal drainage for almost 25 years. I know all about safety, I also remember what was done to many countries and it's citizens in the name of safety a few years back, oh and if you want to be really safety oriented among other things never give your kid a cell phone. I understand all there is to safety but sometimes sht happens. Myself I think we have lost that value as a genuine truth when it comes to living an honest life. Love ya guys . And Dougo your a much better man than me. :)
Thanks for another interesting video that was informative and enjoyable to watch. Lots of projects going on in the shop plus the installation of the overhead crane. That overhead crane will really be a game changer in the shop when doing heavy duty lifting and such. Nice to have that now. Interesting how they lifted that 6,000 pound weight to test the crane. Wow. The new concaves in the combine were kind of hard to change. Nice you were able to get a company tech rep to come and show you the easy way to do it. Neat. Glad he was able to help you. Made the process easier. Will be anxious to hear the results now come harvest time. Think you said This was Brody’s combine I guess. Lots of fab work you all are doing. Nice to have the equipment to do so. Sorry you got so many comments on the tiling project. Everyone cares about all of you is why. Don’t want anyone to get hurt. Thanks for everything Larsons crew. All really good people. Lots of respect for all of you. Take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I change concaves about 4-6 times a season. Rotor in neutral. Open concaves, pull pins for Z bar, close concaves. Unbolt z bar, pull concaves. Install front, then rear then middle. Install is reverse. Check level. 45 minutes with one guy.
Garbage in your tank is an easy fix run anything other then john deere we went red and it's amazing how clean the sample are we tried out a fendt and it also was very nice machine
Backin the mid 70’s, I know I’m old, the bus company I worked for was having a 5bay bus garage built and my boss decided I should do all of the excavation with a backhoe he had just purchased. The contractor would get me to do any work they need done, so they asked me to dig the pit hole. Just as I finished the inspector with the Ministry of Labour, this is southern Ontario, arrives on the scene. As he is looking at this pit that had no shoring the opposite side to him caved in. To make matters worse I had just stepped out of the cab without my hard hat. Not a good day but at least no one was injured
Yep, that will get RUclips censored at 23:21 and again at 23:22!! Stop It! Big Johnson! The crane is the bomb, definitely a chair attachments and let the locals take a paid ride. Larson's Carnival comes alive.
I was going to say something about working in those deep trenches especially where you dug in out last year. I was thinking the same as Dougo to make a chair so he can take your mom on tours of the shop while using the remote. ;)
Waiting for you guys to demo or even buy an x9 you should highly consider demoing a new holland easily the most underrated machine in the ag industry we got 8 of em and we love em the best machine out
Chet, those new concave sieves look interesting, not just because they are so small seed wise but also width wise. I can see where they get their suggestion about no pods in the tank. As far as I can remember, when we used to set up concaves at the dealership I worked at (in UK, mid 80's) the concave settings were always left to the customer to level, as it was part of the procedure of setting up for the different crops. We would get them somewhere nearly, and the rest was down to the operator. I presume they didn't get them as close as we used to get them. That o/h crane looks wonderful, as I've said before (and will no doubt say again). BTW, your fabbing of that bracket looked good, maybe a little relief under would help with the cables? Thanks from UK.
Brody: "The RUclips videos make it look so easy." Man, that one hit home. So many times I've watched RUclips videos for a project, and afterward thought "Huh. This is going to be a lot easier than I thought," just to have a "one hour" project take three days. BTW.... What is the proper spelling of Brody's name? Is it "Brody" or "Brodie?" Another fun video, gents, thanks for taking us along for the ride.
that crane check was a really good Sunday morning uplifting experience :) good explanation on the concave swaps and purpose. Nice bracket and gear mod.
Nice looking/working traveling crane; curious to hear the nicknames of the new turtle 🐢 and rabbit 🐇 that will be crawling and hopping above you! Speaking from operating experience, personalizing the dynamic forces prioritizes the safety considerations/decisions each time it is used. Example: If an aging lift chain has earned the nickname of “Stretch,” best to be looking for the properly rated/tagged lift chain/hooks and let Stretch retire to lighter ground work. As with trench work, anticipate/ respect stored and potentially dangerous forces! Just wondering; does your farm liability insurance agent have any concerns about your shop “addition ?”
I watched videos where John Deer was holding their customers hostage to pay they prices and to use their electronic equipment or else rendering the farmers tractors usless. I used to be team Green but now I'm any color but Green. Where do you stand on all the problems with Deer? If you can say.
We just had an area farmer have a 17 yr old kid get buried in a trench 3 weeks ago...lives changed, lots of surgery and therapy and prayers. Lots of anxiety for you guys, and I understand having been in trenches and having had them collapse on me as well.
took the bait, to four pages and three videos and the forth was that very smart ping-y musak. Great, as long as the 'tuning-in' happens. I guess that's you allotting time to using the signal feedback loop to tune it.
I have the same problem i can't find the link in the discrimination u might help us older guys find out how to do this id love to buy a hat n a shirt from u guys but don't know how to do it so please show us old guys how to do this in a future video thanks a loyal fan i watch all ur videos
At this weeks meeting of the Correll, Minnesota very amateur meteorologist club, they will discuss: • “not a tornado” and • “raindrop size in relation to metallic U.S. currency” 😂
Just make two sets of hoses and leave them on each machine then just swap out the valve and the other bits. Your making life hard for your self. Them sadles on the blade you should be able to buy and just stack up with spaces
I lost a friend last summer he was retired from a milk plant we worked at doing side work for a small contractor he was down in the ditch and because somebody drove the excavator beside the trench it caved in on him he suffocated
6:02 far too much speed on the drill press dude..✌️👍🇬🇧
You still beat any Television shows.

Your content is always on point! Especially at 2:30, I learned something new!"
Brilliant content, awesome chemistry of cast, all actors should be very proud of their performances
Got to love how you guys love all the Canadian stuff salford titan and bushel plus
Good stuff guys. That water drink in the back pocket was really interesting..and again, crazy comments

Excited to see the difference in the concaves
Another great video. Those concaves are really slick.
Those concaves you put in are just like the case concaves with the 4 small ones
Great video guys. thank you
Your dad is very funny 😂
The crane is an awesome addition.
Great stuff guys ❤❤
Awesome video chet and Larson farms!!!
Great video
I installed the Estes grates in my 9770 years ago and the performance increased at least 60%.
Which crops? We're 100% corn on corn...but we have tough shelling high moisture corn.
Thanks for another interesting video that was informative and enjoyable to watch.

Dougo ,always thinking 😂😂😂😂😂😂
He's the big Swede for a reason. 😊
The Crain will be a great asset.
Great things happening, busy, busy, busy👏Stay Safe and Take Care Dougo, Randy, Chet, Eric, Brody and Jordan🤗
I can see it now, DougO' has went and scrubed the bin walls with a toothbrush just to make sure they're clean. Hmmmmmm.
Awesome video Chet. 🚜🚜🚜

Shoooooweeee those beeps are brutal with AirPods in.
Ever think of getting a CASEIH combine, since you have some tractors from them and also use other manufacturers equipment?
❤ from Norway
Cool😊
Did you know Trimble is a company that started down here in Christchurch New Zealand back in 1978! Started by Charlie Trimble.
Correct crop type sieves will eliminate the most amount of pods . Short tooth small grain sieves in beans is a game changer compared to deep tooth
Chet, I do believe you should fab that bracket to level that controller.
You all were swamped with comments over that trench! You just handled it very well.
Waiting for you guys to demo or even buy an x9 you should highly consider demoing a new holland easily the most underrated machine in the ag industry we got 8 of em and we love em the best machine out

I have to admit. I immediately thought not OSHA approved and was a bit concerned for you guys in that trench!

should have put the yellow box on the bottom of that bracket mate
that crane check was a really good Sunday morning uplifting experience :) good explanation on the concave swaps and purpose. Nice bracket and gear mod.
I have been through 4 hurricanes and 6 tropical storms in my life and there is no rain like in a hurricane!
The record rainfall in a 24 hour period in the Continental US was in Alvin, TX during a tropical storm. 42 inches of rain. Your story checks out!
I get way too excited when I see a Larson farm notification.😂
Same here.
Agreed
New building coming I here
Why haven't you guys put the duals back on the tractor yet? It may pull that box scraper better. I think.

Magnifique vidéo et la moissonneuse batteuse et prépare pour moisson 😂😮😅😊
Even if you get no pods with that unit you still will with Chet's.
So the concave kit makes it like a case combine so they are easy to change. lol.
I watched videos where John Deer was holding their customers hostage to pay they prices and to use their electronic equipment or else rendering the farmers tractors usless.
I used to be team Green but now I'm any color but Green.
Where do you stand on all the problems with Deer? If you can say.
Brody rea----lly trying to use his words. :) feel for you, the circus (RUclips) is in town. in film we call it Take Five.
What brand of foaming soap do you use and where do you purchase it?
Dougo can now Work on Township Road’s! Thanks Chet maybe he will train Amy!😳
You guys are lucky you don't have to switch concaves from small grains to corn three or four times every year.
Classic duggo im sure you coulda got a few more years outta that old belt😂😂😂
haha you said BIG JOHNSON......LMAOOOOO
The teenage me thought the same thing, and so did the 60 year old me.
That's what she said 😂
At 72, my teenage mind also thought the same thing. NO, I'll never grow up, never grow up 😅🤣😂!!
come on Deere, give these guys some sort of an engineered expandable display bracket....
rotate the bracket on the yellow box 180 degrees, mount on the bottom of the fabricated bracket, move the other 2 boxes to the top
We just had an area farmer have a 17 yr old kid get buried in a trench 3 weeks ago...lives changed, lots of surgery and therapy and prayers. Lots of anxiety for you guys, and I understand having been in trenches and having had them collapse on me as well.

Try a red one chet!
I lost a friend in a trench cave in. He suffocated to death. It take all of 1 second to change someones life
Yep, I know the feeling, everybody’s having fun until the comment section is full of condolences.
@@thomaslomeo2736 the worse part comes after when the insurance company refuses to pay death benefits because it was self inflicted
I think the uncovered service pit is a far greater injury risk based on frequency of use and traffic levels
@@brianharc6511that's why you don't employ Muppets
Lots of stuff happening at Larson Farms
Will you be separating the loads from each combine so you get the full experience
Pull the z bar off the left side and then remove concaves
Chet, why didn’t you just flip the bar over and suspend the controller? Then all the connections would be easy to access.
Glad to hear you have a big Johnson Chet lol
Won't there be pods from the other combine still?
Glad you acknowledged the trenches. I worked excavating for 30+years. Please don’t ever do that again without a trench box.
I have the same problem i can't find the link in the discrimination u might help us older guys find out how to do this id love to buy a hat n a shirt from u guys but don't know how to do it so please show us old guys how to do this in a future video thanks a loyal fan i watch all ur videos
Combines are cheap there was a couple of 300-400 separator hour 2022 S780’s on big iron that only brought $290,000
I’ve seen similar houred x9 1100s sell for that too. Wicked depreciation
Dougo:)

I can't believe that you don't have 2 vices, and 2 welders. What is the world coming to 😮
Just make two sets of hoses and leave them on each machine then just swap out the valve and the other bits.
Your making life hard for your self.

We all care about every one of you. That's why the trench comments were all over the place. We care about you!
What plier holders do you guys have

As a OSHA inspection mandated I installed NESW placards on the walls ,it did make things easier, especially for guests contractors
