Real comment! And this is a older Loma who took over a year off. The Haney fraud fight really hurt him in many ways. Not only was it a blatant robbery of a clear win…but also a time stealer too. Loma can’t get that time back. And seriously, if you look how all this came about, the Teo fight…Loma beat the snot out of Teo from rd 7-11. He definitely won rd two. Teo had no dominant rd in the fight. His best rd was the 12. The only rd he won on fighting. Loma gave Teo rds 1, and 3-6, by not fighting. When Loma hit the gas, Teo had nothing to stop him or hold him off. A guy who I admire for his work on boxing breakdowns thought it was stuff Teo was doing that kept Loma from fighting. My answer to that is, then why didn’t any of that work starting the 7th rd? That makes no sense. And why in rds 1, 3-6 did Teo do nothing coming close to hurting Loma? What…he dominated Loma by making him not engage? Seems like a weak argument to me. And the ass whooping Teo took for the next 5 rds 7-11…clearly showed who the better fighter was. At worst for Loma, that fight was a draw. I scored it like that…and so did Andre Ward. So all this nonsense that followed, Teo getting spanked by Kambosos, and Haney’s two suspect wins over Kambosos, plus the straight robbery of Haney/Loma are cleared up by this fight. Loma stopped the guy that clearly beat Teo, and that Haney couldn’t hurt in 24 rounds. It’s a shame that the crooks in the sport brought it here.
