    Hahahah I love Kungfu Kitchen!!!
    But yeah I stayed at The Peak before. It's nice but my Airbnb host didn't do a good job maintaining the place. There were roaches too. But I love location and the building amenities. A lot of Chinese and a lot of them get wasted and get rowdy. A friend I know who works for the company that owns The Peak and the other building near by, The Bridge told me they're going to open luxury good stores at the base of the Peak Building ... LV and stuff.

    That area is in Chamkarmon.
    It's a pig sty at street level around all the Chinatown activity.
    It's a special little dirty pocket and it's not a wet market. Wet markets are cleaner.

      @parasitius 2 месяца назад

      @@heythaveBro, California prices? Have you googled this? Average comparable 1 BR rent is $3500ish(core center of top 3 or 4 city). That's long term only with a contract, the "California rate" for a 1BR short term is likely $8,000-10,000, this is your wake-up call. It's not bad, because in Medellin, which is nothing, just a very ordinary city with moderate development, the minimum Airbnb with AC is going to be $1400-1800. Up from $800 pre-covid. In PP you can easily go out a 10 minute ride and find monthly rents like $300-500 on Airbnb.

Sometimes I don't have the energy to waste 10-15 mins on transit each way, other days I just wouldn't want the added risk being out in traffic. As a foreigner you can't have your name on the title of land. You can buy a condo on the 2nd floor or higher or you can buy with a local and have them put their name on the title if you trust them. If you're Khmer you may be able to get a Cambodian passport if you have family here and then you can buy land

      Atleast the Chinese are making an attempt to pull the Cambodians out of the Stone Age to the modern age. Sihanoukville will look fine once some of the buildings are completed. No tourist or Cambodian citizen will complain anymore once is finished. Go to Europe if you want to see cities consisting of mainly shitty old buildings.

    • @CYICU82
      @CYICU82 3 месяца назад +1

      @@christianrolandoleonardmaisy I don’t think Chinese making any of such attempts, they build cheap buildings and take over businesses and put locals out of business and raise housing prices, bring horrible quality Chinese goods and sell them for twice or triple the price, bring all the gangsters and drug deelers there to scam other countries online and in their failed casinos, do prostitution and organ harvesting in a country that will not punish them the same way as they would have been punished in China. And on top of that get to bring their military ships over and take over the ports. So when it comes down to it it’s just an imperialistic action just cheaper and dirtier.
