Can we just give Juan Soto an Island? Change Vashon to Soto Island.
I’m down with that, that should clear out all the crazies who live there now
"No", again and still to Soto. Do I want him, in vacuum, yes. If the M's weren't strapped with budgetary restrictions, I would be all about entering the bidding war fpr his time and services. But in reality, we can't compete in that world without lowering the floor around the potential of Julio/Soto/Arozarena. I'd rather the M's spend that level of money to keep this pitching staff at a high level and continue to build around the young, elite arms we have going forward.
And that's before mentioning that if Robles keeps hitting for the rest of the season, I want the M's to actually pursue him as the RF option for a multi-year contract. Remember when Robles was a higher rated prospect than Soto? It didn't work out that way, Soto is by far the superior option, but if Robles has figured it out (and already in Seattle, no less), he'sa legit and affordable option to pursue, even and especially at the higher end of a free agency bidding war. I could most certainly live with Julio/Arozarena/Robles/Raley/Canzone and maybe Harry Ford or Alberto Rodriguez as the6th guy going forward. That is a legit OF.
One Soto on the Mariners do you need to pay him $1 billion?
None. They will be paying Haniger 17 mil. Next year, and Garver 12 mil.
Thought Haniger was off the books this year. The whole point of the Robbie trade was getting him off the books a year earlier than ray?
@@ramziestes5836 Haniger can opt out or stay and get17.5 mill
We do not need soto. We don't need an outfielder. If anything I say bullpen.
