What I don't like about silver, is that you start growing a sentimental attachment to it and that makes it hard when it comes to sell.. I would assume you have high attachment to all of yours since they are all beautiful!
True, but I guess that’s why so many stackers recommend rounds and bullion. I’d have a hard time since I don’t have much and it’s all picked out because I liked the specific coin and I got sure overpaid.
I have never thought about it like that, but I 100% agree with you!! I have such a strong feeling about them!! I’ll be looking to sell a lot of other things first before I sell my collection. Thanks so much for sharing this. Dan
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, I think you have the perfect idea! Just hard to keep to that when cool coins keep coming out 😉 thanks for watching. Dan
Although the term sovereign isn’t trademarked surprisingly, other private bullion companies can produce them. The Royal mint gave permission for Commonwealth countries such as Perth mint, Sydney mint, Canadian mint Ottawa, Indian mint, South African mint to produce sovereigns on their behalf.. (although I believe India and South Africa no longer mint them) Here in the UK the early Queen Victoria shield backs are in great demand with high premiums (both UK,Australia mints versions) Early panda silver coins 2012 and before were 1 Troy oz and I believe more collectible in the long term. Great content Dan, you gained a sub 👍🏼
Thanks so much for sharing all this information, it will be very helpful for a lot of people. And thanks for subscribing. Glad you enjoyed my video. Dan
I love the shield backs! I don’t like the slaying dragon backs, I guess I like the dragons? But I understand there are some other shield backs. It sucks they are so hard to find here in America. I have a poor example and I’m sure I overpaid but I was soooo excited to get one as it took quite awhile to save for. Someday I hope to have a really nice one.
I enjoy stacking each countries most popular one once silver bullion coins, you’ve also got a nice collection! For new stackers, I personally keep my ratio at 50:1 so fifty ounces of silver for every ounce of gold I own. I think that’s a great ratio 😊
That sounds like a great strategy, thanks so much for sharing your experience. It’s helpful for people who are starting out in this industry. Thanks for watching. Dan
I agree with you. As for fractional gold, I bought 10th oz gae, pamp 1 gram bars, etc back when I stacked in the day. I thought they might come in handy IF society entered a barter era after fiat dies.
Thanks Dan, I started collecting gold coins last year and acquired selective new release silver coins this year. Will be adding to the stack this year when prices settle down. I find gold and silver as a diversification from my property and equity investments.
New stackers / collectors should always keep there coins in good condition , or else you will be lucky to get spot when you sell . If you want a great collection then pay up and buy great stuff , otherwise you will only have average stuff in a flooded market .
Good point, I have just a couple collectible pieces and they are not quality pieces. Those are my generational wealth pieces I guess? Some day people will be as happy to overpay to own even a poor example as I was. My children will benefit if they hold long enough.
Totally agree with you! You will lose of the coins premium if you don’t look after them!’ “I think this is a great idea for another video” thanks so much! Dan
WTH?> thats not a stacking strategy. Too funny stacking on "feelings" haa okayyyyyy. Did you just not see when SILVER hit near $0 premiums dropped the weeks prior, months BASIC SILVER and your Countries Govt bullion is all I would buy. Been stacking to have a stack. Now a collection is different its a curated luxury! Fine too. But wisdom is needed here. Been stackin for 4 decades in USA! If the SHTF ya think THOSE COLLECTIBLE HIGH PREMIUM rounds and pours will be worth the PREMIUM plus SILVER? No is the answer!
Got my sub Dan thanks mate, got heaps of pictured and coloured coins silver and gold. You know heaps about Aussie coins mate, I hope I'm sitting on some $. Thanks again Dan 👍
Haha, definitely glad to get one. I ended up getting mine online. Had to work that day. I think it will be one for the long term. Thanks for your input. Dan

ASEs are impossible to fake. You aren't aware of the Missing Reed Technology?
Yes I am aware of the one missing reed that charges every year, but I have seen fakes with that as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Dan
