Poor placement track record and declining absorption rate in ISRO. 5 year bond and lot of restrictions related to national security if placed in ISRO. Low hike during bond period to make local college hires at par in 5 years. Govt colleges are better choice if you have good rank in keam or mains
If you are planning to take admission to iist then let me tell you something (I am doing this bcz I see many students comes here every year and have false expectations) -The college completely focuses on the academic part if you want fest, functions and enjoyment then don't come -If you want good placement then don't come bcz very few students get placed and with just 3-4lpa -if you are coming for ISRO then also think twice bcz the vacancy for joining ISRO is very less, this year out of complete batch only 5 students got into ISRO -maintaining 7.5 cgpa is very tough , it requires day and night And even after doing all that hard work, it's not certain to get into ISRO bcz of the very least vacancies -if you are thinking profs are very supportive then don't come here Because they are arrogant and harsh like no-one U can't even ask a question Rest is on you But remember "If you are getting something doesn't mean you should take it" My suggestion -if you were in 12th and qualified advance then you have lot of capability You should take drop (U should not worry about increasing competition bcz the level of paper is also decreasing and you will do it) And if you are a dropper Bro take some other college with CS or even core branches atleast you will have job opportunities Unlike here where the course is entirely different and doesn't have any, any scope after 4 years
