will this pair to the weatherflow meter so that once it has been set up, the phone is not needed for the LRF to get the wind data directly from the Weatherflow?
@vortexopticsusa once the kestrel and the range finder are paired so I have to keep my phone around? Or can I leave that behind and does the kestrel and range finder share a blue tooth connection?
So why would I like the Kestrel directly to the Rangefinder? Just so I won't have to use the phone and everything will be fed into the Rangefinder? It seems like Connecting the Kestrel directly to the App makes the most sense and will allow you to use a lot more information and data from the Kestrel as compared to the method where you connect the Kestrel to the rangefinder first. Can someone who knows better than me please advise?
Seems to me if I were to go with options 1, ie connect directly to rangefinder, then might as well get a Weatherflow tempest since I'm only getting wind speed and direction and not getting anything else out of the Kestrel. Correct?

Will the Razor update the target range in my kestrel?
Linking a kestrell 7500 and the 4000gb together, does the 4000gb send distance, direction, and inclination data to the kestrel to use the kestrel for firing solutions? My main interest is using a range finder that links its data to my kestrel so ive got less things ive got to manually input into my kestrel
As a follow up to my question, I did contact both kestrel and vortex, and was told the 4000gb doesn't send information to the kestrel. The fury 5000ab however does, so I ended up picking those up and they work well with my kestrel.
Do you know if I ended up pairing the kestrel directly to the range finder I can leave the phone behind?
The main point is to get all the data in the rangefinder to get the most accurate ballistics when ranging the target. So the data direction is Kestrel to Rangefinder.
The Kestrel does not need to be the Kestrel Ballistic model, just any model with wind speed alone or with +wind direction is fine.
The rangefinder is missing mainly local wind speed and direction. That’s why when pairing it directly with the Kestrel, it only sends those 2 values.
Does any kestrel with link connect such as 2700 or only 5700 link models?
