Hello, I just watched your first Iceland video and am looking to the rest, but I have some questions. If you don’t mind me asking, about how much was the trip aside from flight? (Accommodation, car rental, food, and anything else that would be beneficial) My husband and I are looking to go in the summer and doing as much research as possible and trying to figure out what type of itinerary to do for 5 days. Thanks!
Hi there! Thanks for watching the video, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’d be happy to help with your questions about the trip. Aside from the flight, here’s a rough breakdown of our costs: Accommodation: It varies depending on where you stay, but we spent about [$120 to $180 per night] on mid-range hotels and guesthouses. Booking in advance can help with pricing! Car Rental: We rented a car for around [$50 to $60 per day], which was super convenient for exploring the island. Just keep in mind that gas prices can be a bit high, so budget for that too. Food: Iceland can be pricey when it comes to eating out. We spent about [$80 to $100 per day] per person, but we saved some money by shopping at local grocery stores and preparing some meals ourselves. Other Expenses: Entrance fees to natural attractions are usually minimal or free, but if you want to do any special tours (like a glacier hike, ice cave, Blue lagoon, Lava Show), that can add to the cost. For a 5-day trip, I’d suggest focusing on the highlights like the Golden Circle, the South Coast, and maybe a day in Reykjavik. We really enjoyed [South Coast], and it might be a great addition to your itinerary. Hope that helps! Feel free to ask if you have more questions, and good luck with the planning. Iceland is amazing in the summer! 🤍
@@MeandYouinNYC oh wow, thank you so much for answering all my questions and going into such detail! And I’ll definitely take you up on your offer for further questions, as I’m sure I’ll have plenty! Lol For further questions, do you have an instagram that I can message you on there or is it easier to do it through RUclips? Thanks!
