Being a man that was raised to never show emotion, this song really helps me communicate with my GF. I wasn't allowed to cry as a child and was always told that love and trust were a weakness. I was raised to always be the protector of my family so im never able to let my guard down so I struggle with loving my GF properly and I shut down so quickly any time there's an issue. I never told her this for years and she never knew until my sister talked about it one day and my GF was shocked. I'm not perfect. But I try my best. I've never really been able to open up to her deeply because I still struggle with that but I use music to speak to her and the 1st time I played this for her she teared up because she finally heard what I haven't been able to say. We're going on 8 years now and I still send her this song at times when I know I'm not doing the best I can be. This song has helped me so much 🙏🏼

@Joanna Smalls not speaking for all men but it takes a lot to bring me to tears because I been through many ordeals, but at the end of the day I usually just drink it away and sleep on it until the pain subsides. Healthy? No but I feel like nobody actually likes a complainer. Either that or they don't care enough to chat with you about it. God bless the people with someone that listens to them.
