Symphony X is so amazing. This is the kind of song that makes you want to mouth out the words inspirationally, with an occasional fist in the air! (You know you do it)
It gives you the feeling of being in love, yet at the same time, mourning a death... in a tasteful, tragically beautiful way. How can their music be so powerful?!
This song is about book 9 of Paradise Lost, wherein Adam realizes what Eve's done but recognizes that he can't live without her, so he eats the forbidden fruit as well to live out his punishment alongside her.

This whole album is a complete masterpiece.
The way Russell sings this song is absolutely PERFECT, gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.
A lot of people like to compare SX with DT and for me, Russell is the clear difference. His singing is so much better (my opinion). I'm not much of a guy who pays attention to singing, but Russell is one of those exceptions where he just grabs my attention rather than me just listening to the music itself, or worse, ignore the singing (as in the case with many DT songs).
