Thank you for this very educational video of the two instruments. Informative and fun to learn, I will share your videos with my sons, they are learning drum and thinking about picking up Djembe or Cajon.

Cajon has been being played in Peru for over 100 years, you should check out some afro peruvian Ryhtyms, Festejo for example. Also, I really recommend you get a Actual West African Djembe instead of a synthetic one, you cannot get a good sound for your tone and slap on those drums, and honestly West African djembes players cannot stand the sound of how much ringing those drums make, the reason is that there are no dimples inside the drum to dampen the sound, when it is hand carved the air is displaced in different directions by the dimples and dents inside, and it softens the sound to make it sweet.

I can't get a good acoustic rock/metal sound from traditional ones. And my bass sounds is waaaay better than this guy's. Also a piece of tape will tone it down a bit if you need to.

Hola, si me permites.

Your identical twin is SO rude with the way he keeps playing while you're trying to talk! 😁

While the djembe is a proper drum,
The cajon is a joke, might as well play on a cardboard box.
