The Guard has proven to be the shield of mankind as well as its hammer, and no singular foe has ever truly stand against the mortal armies of the Emperor.
I loved that Imperial Fist who was talking with a Guard officer and praised the Guard, saying that they are true heroes cause the Space Marines have the advantage of having no fear, while Guardsmen face the enemies of the Imperium while having to overcome their own fear of death. It's so heartwarming when the Emperor's angels recognize that regular humans are capable of great things.
When you look at it, the galaxy being so vast and there being roughly 1 million Astarte …. That is a tiny number for such an area to cover. The Guard would handle virtually every mission.

You didn't even mention the best detail about the Catachans. When Kroot warriors consumed jungle warriors it made them start wearing red bandanas and developing a brash disregard for authority to the point that tau leadership banned eating Catachans

All my time playing Dawn of War games, which was my entry into the 40K world, portrays the Guard as sniffling, cowardly, stupid heretics and traitors. Cannon fodder to be fed into the meat grinder of the Imperiums forever wars, but after watching this and playing SM2 I see them in a whole new light. Vast majority of the regiments pack serious heat, Death Korps, Katakan Commandos, ALL the Cadian regiments. They are a true asset to the Imperium and deserve greater respect from us.
Great video! As a fan of the Mordian Iron Guard though, the planet they are from is called Mordian, not Mordia. I thought it was Mordia too but it's different from like Cadia, the planet itself is called Mordian, it's kinda odd to say it in a sentence lol
Mannnnnn. Krieg and the deathkore need an astartes chapter. Based on the planet but mobile in nature. Gas masks obvi. Zeal dialed up to 12(deathkore alfeady at 11) basically tactics like the deathwatch befor they got herpes and went traitor just gassing whole planets. Specialized drop pods that pierce the ground and then they crawl out just for the horror of it imagine. You and ur buds from the factory tire of the cruelty of the imperium form a lil kaos ring and rebel throw off ur overlords and u start to celebrate. As the sun sets on ur planet ships enter orbit and fire but the rounds land (relatively) harmlessly. thinking your kaos gods have protected you and the munitions failed to detonate. A thick gas begins to roll in. a wall of green encroaching on your hivecity. u watch as exterior guards, birds and even the flora begin to turn black die and rot. Juat as an army of fkin 9ft tall armored gasmasked genehanced superzealots of the emperor armed with fkin shovels begin clawing their way out of the ground!! :D
