    The league has a problem with players not wanting to go to teams. It's bad for competition and thus for business.

      I disagree, players are humans and not a commodity. Their preferences should be also considered, otherwise you'll have more players with attitudes like P. L. D. and more teams like Vegas with cutthroat management.

    As a Sabres fan, I am excited for this upcoming season because of the moves GMKA made. If he bought out Skinner just to give an even worse contract to another player, fans would have been rooting for his firing. GMKA is in a tough spot, every time we get the full picture of what he is dealing with, its hard to say I wouldn’t have made the same decision in his shoes. I would let him build the Sabres back into a team that players would consider playing for again before moving on from him. As for Necas, it was known weeks ago that the Sabres had a deal in place and fell through because Necas wouldn’t sign. Big ol’ oh well, been there, heard that a million times. We don’t need anyone that doesn’t want to be here.

    Sabres have a good thing going up there above the Falls and Kevin is smart to want only those that want to be a Sabre with all their heart. Big heart wins big games.

    Columbus has a deal for Necas on draft day, but Lindstrom was available at 4 so they passed.

    Can't blame him because Tuch and Thompson both underperformed last season. The whole chemistry with the team has changed with the off season trades. Too many in my opinion and Adam's might have sealed his fate if they don't make the playoffs this year. Marty would have added to the frustration that has become the buffalo sabres.

    I think it's the reality... who wants to come to a team that hasn't been in the playoffs since they hire Murray many years ago. Adams has rebuilt this team.. and when they cross that line and enter the playoffs.. it will be for a while. Breaking through that barrier is the real problem. And only a few years ago this team was a disaster..

    • @kevinkeith7110
      @kevinkeith7110 2 месяца назад

      That’s one part of it but realistically both teams apart of the potential trade are teams players don’t want to go to for very different reasons. Likely Marty said no to both places himself.
      The Sabres have a different problem though which is that the location is not good, the tax bracket is also not good, the team is decent nowadays, the fans though will boo the players off the ice(not for no reason mind you) and other players do in fact notice this. The losing streak is just 1 part of the problem, not the actual problem. The prior is the contributing factors to the problem.

      @@jf13579 Up until Adams took over, This team just tried for the quick fix. Pick up that one player who will get us to the promise land... except one player can't carry a team unless their name is Dom Hasek (and plays goalie).. no other player plays 100% of a game on the ice. So what happened.. floundering.. Adams has taken his time and started over (which he really had to do) and now has built a team that is close. This offseason, many expected a big splash (not that it has helped detroit or ottawa the last few years) and it's not happened.. for anyone.. not just the sabres.. Big names have not moved. Tons of rumors... whole lotta nothing. Has he done enough? I don't know.. what I do know is.. this steam is on the cusp and once it does.. it's built to sustain that for more than just a one off season.
