The Pretzel a First Grade Waldorf Form Drawing

This form can be done in late first grade or even second grade. If you do it with older children you can make it a weaving form or make it into a mirror form with one line of running forms upside down like a reflection. This form can be challenging for some as it can be hard for children to make the cross in the middle. As a teacher or adult, you can help by guiding their hand or making a light drawing that they can go over themselves until they are confident. Another way you can practice is by making the form with a string first, and then drawing it.
