      I've added an option for royal mail delivery to the Netherlands... I think! Lol Netherlands seems to be split into 4 sectors in terms of service from the UK!
      I'm sure it's the UK being disorganised!

    Cool! For the regular wheels, i noticed the test code only goes forwards, to expand this is it best to implement tank style steering, and spin on the spot? Also the store is in dollars but your in the uk, what's going on there?

    • @concretedog7427
      @concretedog7427  7 месяцев назад +2

      Hi yes tank steer is a good option. I also imagined down the line doing some experiments with feathering speeds of individual motors in turning to create efficient motion. The Mecanum simple example on the repo also has examples of turning the wheels in different directions.

      Oh also the dollar thing. It's the default currency of the Tindie site. Makes no difference really other than I have to think about dollar prices!

    Nice and simple build! Go one at EMF last weekend from you. Do you have any tips on making it remote controlled?

      Hey! Sorry for the delay, I don't check here often enough! Many thanks for grabbing a stoRPer at emf.. was great fun hanging out and talking in the null sector night market. I don't have an specific guides for you I'm afraid, but there are lots of examples of people doing wireless motor control with the wireless version of the pico with the classic example being ruclips.net/video/iTo4Qh2R6m4/видео.html&ab_channel=ExplainingComputers I keep meaning to find time to set up a StoRPer in a similar way!

      Definitely.. on the vast to do list... if you are an inkscape user there are SVG draeing already which are dimensionally accurate but don't have annotated dimensions atm...or the KiCad files, but yes this needs doing!

      I'll happily ship out to Germany, on tindie there is a "request shipping to my country" button somewhere! If you click it I'll research and set up a postage price to get StoRPer to you!

      So it appears there is no "request shipping" button (at least i can't find it). However, Tindie tells me that it automatically requests shipping to another location by sending a message to the seller. Did you see anything in your inbox?

    An interesting little robot, but it has a huge drawback. You designed the whole thing wrong. Motor mounts made from an injection molding are used for installation by holding the gearbox, not the motor! With an assembly like yours, these gearboxes will be destroyed very quickly by anything that gets between the gears.

    • @concretedog7427
      @concretedog7427  7 месяцев назад +1

      You can use the clamps over the gearbox in the same way as the commercial ones with a standoff. Or indeed we could design a mount that has a gearbox cover. I've run them a lot as they are and they are pretty resilient.

    • @concretedog7427
      @concretedog7427  7 месяцев назад +1

      Most of the commercial injection molded ones you refer too are used over the motor... shop.pimoroni.com/products/pimoroni-gearmotor-bracket-pair?variant=23686314439

    • @wendajaroslaw
      @wendajaroslaw 7 месяцев назад

      @@concretedog7427You are wrong, all the motor mounts I have, have edges identical to the gearbox and are used to hold the motor by the gearbox. For example, those from Pololu. Additionally, if you mount the motor by the gearbox, the motor housing will overlap the RPI solder pads.

    • @AndersJackson
      @AndersJackson 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@wendajaroslaw all the motor mounts you have. But not the one that he reference to do. So I guess that @concretedog7427 isn't wrong, as if it even matters. But your way of write made me response to your "argumentation".
