In Revelation, it is important to note that John doesn't "see" the lion in Revelation 5, but only hears about it. Whereas John sees the sacrificial lamb. The rest of Revelation is filled with this "hear one thing and see another" concept as well (i.e. Revelation 7 says that John "heard" about the 144,000, but the he "saw" a vast multitude that no one could number).
Great point! Part of these videos is we don't always have enough time to always go super into depth but I would love to do longer deeper dives as our audience grows... and demands it!
If the lions are used to get rid of death energy, why don't they just have a motorized dancing lion that "has been awoken" in every city or town? I'm all about that automated death cleansing Also, that was the best Compare & Contrast song yet. We definitely need more Emily narrations (especially if it includes her metal skills)
They do! Just not ones that move. The lions actually don't technically even have to dance! Every temple and many homes have lion statues and guard statues and they awaken those as well. It's like Yang on Yang. The dance makes it stronger but the subjective nature of "energy and balance" makes much of folk religion prescriptive and situational. I.E. problem? Is it it death pollution? Add lions.
What spiritual things have you seen that are symbolic and difficult to understand?
Emily is the funnest one on the media team. The others are...well... Still no one can compare and contrast like Master Jake.
She's also our creative backbone
Thank you guys! So cool to think about the differing symbolism between Taiwanese tradition and the Bible!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved seeing Em!!
Thanks for the input! We'll try to make sure she comes back in future videos!

@@JacobSmithFT Is there a magic "death pollution" meter that I can get at Folk Depot?
"I missed Jake and would like him to be the teacher again."
I have done what I was instructed. That is all.
Actually, in all seriousness, I think a mixed cast would be cool.
