    Lacing over the top locks the laces and exerts less pressure on the tongue, which helps reduce lace bite. Run the lace from the outside of the boot (lateral) to the inside of the boot (medial) over the top of the lace going from the inside to the outside. Double crossing the top (before tying the bow) locks the tension in the top of the boot. Excellent tip on managing the extra lace length, although I usually lightly tie a double knot (I don't use waxed laces).

    Great advice about bandage on a foots. Carbon boots are terrible for grapevine. Thank you

    CCM Ribcore line up to 50K series had a lace lock three holes down, from the original Reebok design. That was brilliant. I've seen a 2 lace configuration with one lace from bottom to 4th from the top, then a short lace for the top 3, to achieve the same thing.

    New (hockey) skater here! What kind of skate are you using? Is it different from a hockey/figure skate? I’m wondering why it looks so similar to a hockey skate when I thought freestyle was more of a figure skating thing! I picked up hockey skates to get myself to overcome the fear of going fast, but this looks like it could be just as fun as learning hockey!

    How the sharpener can be useful? Won't it spoil the cut done by professional service? Maybe you can make a video how and why to use a sharpener? BTW: Affiliate link for sharpener does not work :/

    • @AlpineIceFreestyle
      @AlpineIceFreestyle  5 месяцев назад +1

      The sharpener can save your blunt blades for a seession, not more. Its a emergency Tool.
      In this Video I am talking about the lace pulling included in the sharpener. Not the whole thing😅
      Link should work now😉

      I have the same problem with the same skates. I used a heat gun and pressed and hammered out the area with the issue. Or bring skates to a pro shop and pay to have it done.
