That was absolutely fantastic. One of the most engaging and thought provoking speeches on the topic of entrepreneurship I've seen in a long time. Thank you!
Great talk! Guy is fun and he's speak is much more interesting to hear for that. ..so in my opinion the talk was'nt "sucking" but was "long", although interesting to follow ;)
@jtrascap I lived in Germany for 6 years doing my grad and undergrad. When i travelled to Sweden and Denmark to attend some conferences, none of them had the sniffles, so that's not the way it goes!
wow , what an awesome presentation he knows what he is talking about and to prove it look at 'rhys links u in'' on youtube and see if his rules apply!!
I like the Ice 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 example. But he should ask the audience what they would think Ice V4.0 would be like ?. Here is mine and it will blow a few people away!. Ice 4.0 would be a futuristic spoon or drinking straw. Powered by a small button battery and a tiny cartridge of organic solution of bio-tech and nanotech secret sauce. When you stir the drink or glass of water, it will make your brain think the drink is really cold. ie the ¨ice effect¨. Behold the TeoTech V4.0!
The twitter/sms system is flawed. Twitter doesn't give you anything you need. Twitter is like facebook where you need to be because your friends are and you need to broadcast yourself. But when money comes in then the immediate access goes away and you can easily go to any other free blog sites. Ads/ad tweets can be great or perhaps different levels of membership ie free, professional, celeb etc. Each gets an increase of words and perhaps greater customisation and free new stuff.
Why at 24 minutes is it okay for Guy to slam Republicans with negative stereotypes. So much for tolerance & thought diversity. I have never heard a Republican, during a business talk slander a Democrat (Political talks are different.) but liberals do it all the time.
@rodrigopanachi Watch Craig Ferguson and you'll understand why. No I don't know. I've never been to Scotland. It's just listening though. Not much to it.
Of course he didn't mention Facebook or twitter either. Why?? Because those two companies aren't top 50 innovative companies that's why. Why does he bash MBAs? Because knowledge and experience beat paper, think of those as scissors!
Seriously. His snorting was distracting the hell out of me. At least apologize in advance and say you have allergies. Snorting without saying anything doesn't go over very well....especially the 20th time.
You like chess and quake, so I'm going to level with you. Getting so defensive over your choice in operating system is a little weird. You can't agree that Mac is superior, therefor you don't have a clue. Once you learn to stop treating people like computers you'll see the value added by good design. Learn design, learn psychology, learn business, learn people, get a clue. 0001011101110101011010101010 = 0
his topic doesn't relate to students much. what would they know of fecilitators and mission statements. working ppl will laugh their a** out on this. for students 'top 10 mistakes of start-ups' at CalTech makes sense.
This "Guy" is wonderful. You'd realise this, that he is speaking straight from the heart.
What a great speaker he is, he is just a great person.
Glad they recorded it for us, people who really knows what we whant from life.

Great work guys. You guys rock. Thanks for such an informative video..
Great speaker and presenter.
One of the best!

@beidman Try living in Northern Europe sometime...it's just the way this goes..
#beidman - Perhaps, but I can tell you is that we all seem to get sick at once here in Holland - perhaps we're just more social! ;)
@39:00 highlight elevator pitch

Mind and spirit... aren't they synonims for brain?

Think the 5 bucks for twitter argument was warped. I would call it bozo as he would prefer it!
not one word about facebook
Of course he didn't mention Facebook or twitter either. Why?? Because those two companies aren't top 50 innovative companies that's why. Why does he bash MBAs? Because knowledge and experience beat paper, think of those as scissors!
The frequent loud sniffing is unnerving.
cocaine is a helluva drug
And if you have time, learn art, rhetoric, and history. Get a sense of perspective.
His introduction is copied and pasted in all his talks. I enjoy them though
@AiDz0r Naah, this guy puts him to shame. I've studied Robert and this is way better than what he has to say.
Status Quo is what kills a successful company
54:32 Awkward
Now I actually believe that engineers are dull and boring. And narcissistic
he should have taken a break and blown his nose! the sniffing got annoying. great speech.
some get this guy a tissue. He needs to blow his nose.

He need to take a good antihistamine to stop his sniffing! Or stop snorting!
