Well yes but no because they didn’t just use the cars and paint jobs the also went through the trouble of replicating the animation style from season 2 to such degree I thought it transitioned into an actual episode for a sec to do that they would have to have had to bring in people who worked on initial d for a type of sudo cameo or work tirelessly for over a week to replicate it for an in-depth mini tribute kinda thing so in that case it’s not just a reference it’s a nod to the series with respect

@@Bellumortus ask the mountain racers in real life and they will tell you that there gtr drivers at the very least destroy there brakes on the downhill if not there tires too and thats after they lighten the car a little bit no less also while yes braking does give grip the the front tires its still by tendency going to have some understeer not much but when your in a tight ass turn it feels like no matter what you do the car refuses to steer even if you completely let off the gas as well and if you try to feather the throttle it just gets squirrely problem is some corners you cant slam on the gas which is why i refuse to get a 4wd car as the only good rear biased ones usually understeer the most since well thats what a rear biased car wants to do when you brake to hard and then slam on the gas sure you can do stuff like countersteer to keep it trailing but that only can save your ass so many times before your luck runs out
