DIY casting lead soldiers from old bullets

  • DIY tutorial on casting small scale toy soldiers from old bullets found while metal detecting. This could be helpful for diorama enthusiasts, model train builders, small scale scenery and vehicle reproduction.
    Also, it is a good method of upcycling those old bullets thrown away in a bucket, ready to be sorted again at some point. Every metal detection passionate knows what I'm talking about!

    Question:
    I have a Lead Soldier mold and don’t want to use Lead is it possible to use Other metals such as Aluminum?

      Aluminum has a higher melting point than lead, so if the mold is lead it would melt it.
