Pig Talk: Freedom in the gestation, farrowing and breeding phase

The sows at the farm of owner Ruben Exterkate in Bentelo, the Netherlands, have turn around during the farrowing and lactation phase as they are kept on an organic farm. Yet it looks like for sows in conventional farms, increasingly spacing changes are to be expected, in every moment of the sow cycle.
