Not seen a class today where the teacher executes the steps alongside the dancers so frequently and fully. I also like the way he demonstrates specifically what he wants and what to avoid. More interesting to watch than just hearing combinations barked out. Best teacher I've watched on WBD so far. 🙂👍
It's a miracle! I don't know any Russian, but the French ballet words are exactly as I learned them long ago. Ballet is another international language.
Maria Khoreva and May always go the extra mile... It's amazing their capacity to always keep working. And the focus of Vicka is so inspiring. And Kimin at the centre... The flying quality!... This was by far my favorite class of World Ballet Day! Looking forward to see Mariinsky this year again!...
Say whatever you want about Fateev's politics or management decisions, but the way he conducts the class and works with his dancers here, especially May, is so so precious -- fully committed, with so much love and care for his dancers and the art form. An exemplar demonstration of professionalism by Fateev and all the dancers here in the studio - the level of focus is incredible.

Am I the only one that thinks this isn’t a terribly difficult class?! Nothing against the dancers or teachers but this seems like a professional level morning class to warm up and get you ready for your day.
@@adrienscott6913 I agree! However reaching this level of professionalism takes a lifetime to achieve. The fact that there are few mistakes among them proves why they are there. I guess it’s an easy class depending on your level of skill.

This is pure perfection!!!The center exercises are so well performed!!!! The poor Royal ballet seams like a bunch of amateurs in comparison, all the others are even worse😂😂😂😂😂

Ekaterina Kondaurova, my FAVORITE Mariinsky ballerina always. Seeing her in Symphony in C was amazing, i will never forget her in this, she was so good at Balanchine technique.💕💕💕💯💯💯💯
I JUST recently discovered HER E.K.!!! I stumbled upon a Nutcracker "Arabian Dance" performance and I was immediately captivated, entranced, "CHARMED" if you will!!! I wanted to see MORE of her work! It's only been Sylvie G. Svetlana Z and Maria K.who have caused me to feel such AWE so far. E.K has EFFORTLESS quality of movement🙌 HER LINES & CONTROL🙌 are ALL SUPERB! RUSSIANS RULE IN BALLET!!! GOTTA GIVE CREDIT where it's due!👏🙌
Have these in the background while I study for exams, every now and then when I take a break I love watching the classes! Not a dancer but admire everybody who does ❤
